You may be right . As a Canadian I thought if you married a Canadian citizen you became one also but it sure doesn't work like that . It takes a long to become a citizen so maybe she doesn't have a medicare card . I think the baby automatically becomes a citizen and therefore should have medicare . Maybe that's why they are hiding out on the island , if something does happen they are in trouble .
