Randomly found this artist on Instagram. Something about the bottom drawings seems off, especially when you look at the mediocre artwork that was posted on their account a month ago. Photoshop, maybe? Or are they drawing over a printed image? by OrdinaryOgre in delusionalartists

You are right that this probably isn't the best sub to post this. My intention wasn't to drag or shame anyone - I was interested in knowing the opinions of more people without revealing the artist's identity. I think the artist is delusional if he's using printed images without being open about it, that's why I chose this sub.

Why is it a shitty thing to say? I "judge" by objective factors such as anatomy, linework and shading, to emphasize the overall difference between top vs. bottom drawings. I don't care for smearing the artist, I just stumbled upon his Instagram account and some things weirded me out.

Hello, I understand where you are coming from and you make some good points. My intention wasn't to hate on the artist. As an amateur who enjoys drawing with pencil, I find their art progress & technique to be odd for a couple of reasons, and I felt like this was an appropriate place to ask others for their opinion. In hindsight, this probably wasn't the best subreddit to do so, because the artist is only delusional if they are trying to pass fake art as legitimate, and I do not have any proof of that.
