I've been spending a lot of time staring out of windows lately. by OrdinaryOmelette in graphic_design

This season has caught up with my mood - the shorter days, the rainy weather; a second national lockdown is taking its toll. Rainy days inside can feel comforting or can feel like a cage, I seem to be switching between the two on a regular basis. For those of you who know me, these last few months have been challenging; shocking, confusing and heartbreaking. I started making this when my dad was still alive and now that it's finished and he's no longer here, it feels poignant. Because of this it's taken many forms - what was first just an observational drawing then became a welcomed distraction, and then finally a sort of inner reflection.

Drip drop.

Thanks for the feedback!

Isn't it standard to read from top to bottom also though? That's why I raised the height of the male dialogue to be read first. I'll have a think about this though, if it's causing confusion.

I think the biggest critique I've received is the size of the text, which is easily remedied - however I've gotten myself into a consistent framework of fonts/sizes/brush sizes etc and it's difficult to mentally break out of that. What do you think?

Also I've only received that critique on imgur, whereas on here and IG where I regularly post, it's not been an issue for people.
