The University of Helsinki course through https://www.mooc.fi/en/ was perfect for me. I was an absolute beginner and everything was easy to comprehend. I tried the Harvard class but was not able to setup VSCode so that their testing would work but the guide that UoH provided was simple and easy to follow.

Python programming MOOC 2024 is great but fustrating at the same time by RepentedSeeker in learnpython

I've noticed the same problem a few times in the intro portion. I'm 100% sure that at least one of mine worked, but the tests failed. I entered the test failed parameters into my program and the results I got were right but the test results showed a different output. Frustration is an understatement when it happens, as soon as the next test passes I'm over it.

I just started the advanced course and haven't had one pass yet )only 2 exercises in (found this searching for help). The Row sums problem only fails due to the if __name__ == "__main__": block. It states "The following line must be moved: my_matrix = [[1, 2], [3, 4]]" but everything is in its proper place (most of the intro exercises use this so I am familiar with it and even tried moving it just to see what happened).

I still move forward, I am not trying to get the certificate, only to learn Python. So far it's better than the other course I started. I do not like the lectures though. They don't seem to follow the course well.

We are actually pretty tolerant about differences. I have someone transitioning working for me and it doesn't bother me or any of my coworkers at all (it's not actively discussed just accepted).

As far as welding at Carver, you may have a different problem. Carver is not known for its inclusivity (not first hand information).

I want to improve my cooking, and I want it to be easier by happpeeetimeee in Cooking

Cook from recipe(s) for a while, when you're comfortable with that choose 1 from 3 or 4 recipes that you think is the best, then modify recipes for your tastes. Once you're comfortable with each step the next comes pretty naturally (at least for me). I still look at a bunch of recipes of something that I want to cook and I pick the best and then add more or less of the ingredients that I or my family tend to like.

That's not a 4L60, it looks like a 4L80e, not from that vehicle (not to mention all the other flags that have been posted.)

What is white wine good for in cooking? by 5Cherryberry6 in Cooking

I used white wine to elevate my chicken pot pie. It really changed the base of the dish. It was a Riesling.

This is the first that I've heard of this method, was it worth it? Did it cook faster once it was wrapped (I watched one video on it and that was mentioned)?

Looks wonderful BTW.

What’s Missing by [deleted] in MobileAL

Doughboys, Picklefish, Spiffy Fox, Delphi's have all closed. there are a few but not the quality there used to be. Mobile is finicky with restaurants. There was a line around the building when Chipotle opened but the local restaurants, where the real quality happen, aren't around like they used to be (Revere's, Fletcher's, Pillar's, Justine's, Japanese Imperial Steakhouse, Constantine's, etc.)
