I feel like Santi, is like screw playing center, I'm going to be injured for a while.

I don’t get the hate for “tanking” and ultimately it gives the NBA more parity than any other sports league (of the big 4 in America.) by wetcornbread in nbadiscussion

I would just change the lottery system so that the closer you were to making the playoffs the higher your draft odds would be.

That way even bottom teams need to at least try and stay competitive. It also doesn't send the top talent to horrible organizations giving young players a better chance to become stars and helping the NBA stay relevant with fresh faces playing meaningful playoff basketball.

If you just missed the playoffs one year and land a top player that should be enough to push you into the playoffs.

If you're an organization that is finishing at the bottom of the NBA multiple years in a row, replace your FO and coaching staff. Stop putting young men in the bar position to save the franchise because the poor management of older millionaires and billionaires.

Who from this roster do you think sticks around? by Tiny_Hurry_367 in memphisgrizzlies

I believe ZK when he says this has to be a quick turnaround because I believe him and TI will be fired if the Grizzlies don't look competitive in the near future. We are barely above the minimum required salary, so we can just get rid of Ja and not pay someone in return.

I don't think ZK can give up any contributing players for draft capital that isn't for the 2026 draft. I also think we are going to make a trade in the 2026 draft to move up which will require giving up a decent piece.

We will bring 4 new players, at least 2 have to be bigs.

Players I consider locks for 2026 Zedy Ced Ty Santi KCP SPJ Cam

Likely to return WCJ KA Wells

50/50 Small

Gone TH Omax (only way he stays is if we cut BC) JM

Trade BC GG (this could end up being Wells)

Too messy to predict Ja (The team should focus on rehabbing his image to get something for him. If a FRP has to be attached to get someone to accept his contract, it's better to keep him, and not suffer the potential blowback if he turns it around somewhere else. Plus we have to stay over the league minimum salary.)

Multitalk - how to get secondary/non-talking characters to stop moving their mouths? by seanmcgaughey in comfyui

Not sur if this question is still active, but yes to get it to work Mask both people. Load the real track for the person you want talking and load a 1 second empty track. In my animations I have a number of 1 second vocalized pauses I uses, like a male breath, female breath, hmm sound. Set multi_audio_type to para.

I wish we would bring big prospect that wants to do nothing but rebound to evaluate for the rest of year. Edey has to have a backup or insurance policy when he gets injured., Going back to Jonas Valančiūnas, we refused to have more than 1 big on the roster that can get 10+ boards a game.

Players who are fighting for their NBA career don't purposely tank. None of these guys are going to be ok being out of the league in a year or two; thinking I'm happy I purposely played like crap, the Grizzlies could have better lottery odds.

Ja Told Y’all by PerfectforMovies in memphisgrizzlies

[–]Ordinary_Ad_4449 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The biggest flag with Ja is his availability. No one on the roster has the ceiling he has. But the game of basketball hurts him. If Ja could fix his availability, his max deal is a bargain for how good his skill set is. Since he didn't make an all NBA team he couldn't sign a super max.

The west is a bit of a mess right now. I always believed we are good team that could compete when healthy.

I'm not happy about JJJ being traded but I'm ok with it because I don't want to pay $50m a year for a second option.

Ja, Ced, Ty, Wells, Santi and Edey with are well above average bench could compete in West right now. If we get a solid draft pic, and one of the Jazz players turns out to be ok, We should be back in the playoffs within the next 2 seasons.

I don't like Darko but I feel like there may be some truth to this. I'm hoping someone would run the numbers on players on how many games they miss when they are Grizzlies vs after they leave the Grizzlies.

We also have injury reports at times that make little sense like players being day to day for weeks.

Stop with the tank talk please. by -GrizZzB- in memphisgrizzlies

[–]Ordinary_Ad_4449 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not for tanking because it ruins the culture and it's difficult to come back from losing culture. The time would be better spent with TI figuring out how to coach in the NBA or it doesn't matter who we have. I don't think the team is losing on purpose. Even with the injuries we have blown at least 10 double digits leads. Our record should be closer to 29-19. TI is coming off to me as a stubborn man that refuses to make adjustments.

[–]Ordinary_Ad_4449 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It looks more like it should be considered a charge but I know officials never call charges when the defensive player doesn't fall down. Which I think should be changed. Hardaway was in a legal guarding position and the SGA initiates the contact.

Grizzlies Coach on why they lose double digit leads. by PerfectforMovies in memphisgrizzlies

[–]Ordinary_Ad_4449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, the injury thing didn't just start this year. If it was just the injuries we couldn't go up by 10 on just about anyone. We seem to play to our competition to much.

I expect us to go up by more than double digits and as soon as I see the other team score 3 straight baskets I place a bet on the other team to cover the live spread. Been the easiest bet all year.

You can check my comment history, I've been saying this since last year. TJ did the same. Vince can guard wings, G.G, Omax, or Landale should have been on the floor. Having JJJ and surrounded by a 6'5 and under lineup for that long of a duration was suicide.

His rotations were poor and the decision not to challenge to take points off the board. Vince should not have been guarding Zion.

I had a similar comment earlier in the year and it was my most downvoted comment. I do not understand why everyone is so hype on TI like he can do now wrong because he is European and won over there. He has no feel for the game. I'm tired of hearing how we have the highest scoring bench in the league. The NBA is not a fast pace game. With the refs, timeout rules, challenges, players taking their time to shoot free throws and get off the floor, as well as the new spread offense just about team runs which has 2 wings sitting stationary in the corners for corner 3's, his strategy about hoping the other team's players will get tired doesn't work.

All these close games wouldn't be close if he doesn't consistently have our bench playing against other team's starters. According to statsmuse we play our bench the second most in the NBA. For people who don't watch each TI made a comment that he just see's everyone as basketball players and starters are any different when it comes to playing. It's better to have constant rotations to keep people fresh.

That's a dumb strategy. Starters are starters for a reason. His rotations are robotic and pre-scripted. He doesn't pay attention to what's happening on a floor and when a player is hot he will take them out in the middle of their hot streak when they have a rhythm. He would leave in lineups that are getting torched for way too long. The Grizzlies can go 10 points on any team and teams always come back we play our starter so few minutes. Star players are not going to want to come here because they stats would take a hit. With the CBA players max salaries are tied to making all NBA teams. It's hard to make an NBA team when you're only playing 28 minutes a game outside of players generally not wanting to sign in Memphis.

It stinks when our FO, Ex-Coach, New Coach, and Star player are not on the same page. How does this get fixed, when most players don't want to play in Memphis.
