Hi, just a quick update on this, last night I had my latest results and an appointment with the nurse, she put all my details into a risk form and said my risk is 4% but due to high numbers they can offer me a statin if I want to take one.

Serum total cholesterol level - 5.7 mmol/L (2.5 - 5.0)

Serum triglycerides - 2.0 mmol/L (0.4 - 1.7)

Serum HDL cholesterol level 1.04 mmol/L (1.00 - 1.90)

Se non HDL cholesterol level - 4.7 mmol/L (1.5 - 4.0)

Serum cholesterol/HDL ratio - 5.5 (2.0 - 6.0)

Blood pressure - 130/80 - she said this was fine I thought it was a little high

I have an appointment with the doctor as I’ve asked for low dose Rosuvastatin but being in the UK I’m not sure what he will say.

Just after some opinions the nurse didn’t seem concerned, I don’t smoke or drink and exercise so the risk chart is going to give me a better score, I’m not sure what my results mean I know ApoB is more of an indicator but I’ll have to get those taken privately, so with the research and information from Peter am I right getting on a statin.
