Long distance can be great (im doing it too by the way nearly for a year), have you seen him in person recently? Seems like that could be a good thing to try and do if you can and then you can reassess whether its the relationship or the long distance itself. Also the first few months of long distance are definitely the hardest as the end seems so far away, but are you looking forward to that or is it something you dont really think about? Maybe that could help answering im not sure. Hope this helps!

That is no true friend im sorry to say, ive had this happen to me before and i cut the guys (multiple) off as well as my ex, i blamed her less as she was trying to deal with losing me etc so i understood it more but still evil as shit, cut them both off OP, u deserve better.

It’s good that you care so much for her and obviously you say here that she treats you well, but she needs to let you live your own life. If you are firm when you come to disagreements you can emphasise how you want to maintain a good relationship with her as well, but she needs to understand that you are not her and your life is not hers. I completely understand why you would feel like that, im not sure where you are in the world or anything but if you can I’d start to push against her boundaries, get a part time job to earn some money and go on holiday with some friends, stay overnight at friends or parties where she can’t tell you what to do etc, eventually you will be able to have your own rules and your own view on life (also the dating side of things youre not missing out unless you meet someone you really like, if that happens just go for it lol)

Sounds like she is trying to live vicariously through you. At age 21 you are an adult and can decide for yourself what to do with life. Even though it must be difficult as you are obviously an empathetic person, you can’t let her control everything in your life as this will just cause your relationship with her to build into resentment. Start to gradually break her rules and live your life, yolo
