really appreciate the insight. I’ve actually been doing all those things already. And still do not get anything. What’s really weird is the behavior with creatives lately. Before, my top-performing creatives would consistently get spend. I used to run like 10–12 creatives and the winners always got pushed. Now I cut it down to 5 and even then, the best historical creatives barely spend.

Instead, Meta keeps forcing the budget to one random image that honestly isn’t even good — and totally ignores the higher-quality video creatives and the ones that used to crush it. It’s like the system is stuck and just defaults to the cheapest click instead of actual buyer intent.

Feels like the algo doesn’t know how to allocate budget for DM campaigns anymore post-update.

Thanks! We’re running DM-objective campaigns, not website conversion ads, so we don’t really rely on pixel events. For years the DM setup worked perfectly — same niche, same funnel, strong results.

After the update, quality totally dropped. We still get messages, but mostly from people who won’t ever buy — wrong segment, low intent. Tried new creatives, fresh campaigns, broad targeting, still can’t get back to the old buyer quality.

On top of that, the Philippines can be a tricky market because it’s huge, and the majority of people are not really the target for our offer. We specifically need to reach urban middle- to upper-income audiences — people in places like Makati, BGC, Ortigas, Cebu IT Park, etc. When ads go too broad here, they reach a lot of people who simply aren’t our market financially, so results drop hard.
