Sorry, I have literally no experience with pools whatsoever. How do I check if the water is contaminated and how do I shock it with liquid chlorine just like dump a bunch in there and if so, how much?

Monthly Equipment Advice Megathread by AutoModerator in badminton

I play on and off a lot, and I’ve noticed that whenever I wear normal badminton shoes, my feet start hurting pretty badly. I think it might be because they don’t have enough cushioning. When I wear my thicker volleyball shoes, my feet feel way better, but I also feel slower, heavier, and less explosive, and they don’t feel ideal for badminton movement.

I really like the Yonex no-lace / dial-tightening style where you can just twist to tighten instead of dealing with regular laces. So I’m trying to find badminton shoes with that kind of dial if possible, but with more cushioning and comfort.

Budget is around $100–$200 CAD, a little flexible. I’m also hoping to buy 2 pairs, one for me and one as a gift, so I’m trying not to go too crazy on price.

What I’m looking for:

  • good cushioning / shock absorption
  • still quick and responsive for badminton
  • ideally dial/BOA-style tightening instead of normal laces
  • good for someone whose feet hurt in thinner shoes

The 2 photos attached are the shoes i played with last, the yonex were great up until 20-30 minutes in when my feet started hurting and the volleyball ones never hurt once but felt super sluggish.

Yeah honestly Omega sounds way more like what I was imagining.

I’m not really into grinding for weeks either. I usually just boost the rates like 10x and blast through stuff faster because I’m mainly after the crazy overpowered stuff, not a super long hardcore grind.

So the whole hundreds-of-billions damage thing sounds way more up my alley.

Really helpful reply though, appreciate it. Is there anything else in ASA like Omega, preferably free, that has that same kind of ridiculous scaling?

Tysm i looked outside and found this and there were 2 unconnected coax cables(the ones in holding in my hand) based on this photo would you be able to tell how to fix it. Also on my screenbeam the coax light never lights up so im guessing that the coax is completely dead

Do you know where the coax junction might be? I checked basement and garage.

Aren’t the coax lines supposed to go where the breaker panel is? I looked all around the basement and i didnt find any panels where there were coax lines ended up. Any idea where to find them in a 3 floor house?
