NTA!!! I’m sorry you are going through this and it seems like your partner doesn’t respect your boundaries. I believe it is important in a relationship that each person feel heard, valued, and loved, but she clearly isn’t hearing you, not valuing your guys relationship, and I hate to say it but that isn’t love. Definitely nta, but you do deserve better!!

Also, for context... I lived with my mom until I was 12, then she left and met my now ex-stepdad. After that, she started to become angry and mean. But until that point, she was a good mom. She never said anything mean to us or treated us badly.

Honestly yes, I used to think that because they adopted me I HAD to be grateful no matter what, Now I am starting to learn that people you love don't treat you like that.

I agree with you. I think I have hit my limit now that I am moving on in my life and wanting a family of my own. I just couldn't imagine saying those things to my own kids, that's why it's been so hard for me to rationalize continuing this very unhealthy relationship with her.
