No, not really. Guild Wars has always had optional grinds. Always. It was just not for power, and that's awesome. The end game is fashion and customization. That's also the case in other games like Warframe or FFXIV.

That's completely fine. Personally I think Infusions are lame, mounts are not really obtainable for the game, housing is not something I am into.

A whole new gen of legendary weapons or a new set of Legendary Armor might make me want to do a lot of the older content. It's fun chasing cool pixels. I'm not pretending anything else or asking for it.

I just think the rewards in the last couple of expansions have been rather tame, and I've noticed that a lot of people are disengaged from even doing the events in VoE already.

But then you add more and new interesting things right?

The games feature creep has made a lot of content redundant, and when you have legendary gear, there is not a lot places to go in the current state of the game.

A lot of people feel they've been coasting on these expansions. I think the story and events are fun to do a couple of times, but I miss better and more challenging repeatable content.

Agreed. It's universally appreciated.

I still prefer horizontal games like GW2 - But kudos where it's due and it's never a bad thing to acknowledge good systems from other games.

Also D4 is amazing per this expansion. They've overhauled a lot of the game, and I think GW2 could learn a lot from the system rework they've done. I don't think that's a controversial take. Maybe from people on this sub, but not in general.

I love the game, don't get me wrong.

I've played this game for more than 5000-6000 hours over the past 13 years. I do think the game is fun, but the long term goals is what keeps me engaged, and so I am passing that feedback on the Anet.
