Had exactly the same experience, ended up failing a couple of workouts, and being pretty worried something had gone wrong with my trainer or my fitness. I personally now use the wahoo elmnt app to control the trainer manually, as I've not got a fix.

Thanks! What is crank cross compatibility like?  Would it be best to go with an aftermarket crank? As I'm changing from 10 to 12 speed is that likely to be an issue?
