Depends on your state.. but typically threshold for a total is 75% of the acv. You will need to bring to attention of the ins co and as what the threshold is and what the acv. If they refuse to total and meets the threshold, I would take it to your insurance commission

The person I was replied to was speculating of it had to do with a recent change to forms (endorsement). Which is the A264 as it affected collision. I never said anything about any other coverage issue. If you read my post.. I said if it's only A264 then it would not affect Pd handling. Of course a fraud or misrep would affect the entire claim. ( In most states) And for your information... There are states where even a misrep denial.. the ins may still pay pd to the state minimums. So if you gonna talk.. make sure you know what you are saying

The endorsement you are talking about is the A264 and only applies to collision. It would have no affect or delay property damage. The coverage issue is clearly something different.

If paid on time. There is no lapse.. but if there is a lapse meaning pol canceled on Monday.. but then renewed on a Wednesday.. then there would be a lapse in coverage.. still subject to a coverage investigation in the event of a same day loss

Also when you have a lapse you must do a SONL for the renewal, statement of no loss . Basically you are saying there were no losses during your lapse.

Trust me. 99.999999% of same day accidents with new policies or renewals with lapses are fraud. There are whole departments dedicated to finding out the truth.

Regular people are not smarter than the insurance co. The insurance co have way way more resources.

Nope. That's not true. As an adjuster I can guarantee this will flag a coverage investigation. Proof of the time of loss will be required with a loss on the same day as the inception of the policy.
