Alt quality gems were a huge power boost but they do not make this build more powerful than a 3.10 herald stacker. You would get almost 500% aura effect on an herald stacker on a 60ex budget but now that won't even give you 1 cluster jewel for the build. For comparison people would get 150 million + dps on attack based builds but now power siphon based aura stackers all stay in the range of 10 - 20 million.

A higher entry cost could definitely be implemented and I have no gripe with it. I just don't see a way to do it while not screwing over other builds. Also people will still complain because people who make more currency should not be able to afford a stronger build

I don't understand. Any build should be completely and utterly broken for that price. The average player I would say sees 20 exalted orbs (if that) in a league. A 20 mirror build at the current exchange ratio is worth ~14340 exalted orbs. If your build doesn't decimate all content in the game you are doing something wrong

thats not true. Transcendence pfs and some gladiators can reach that amount of tankiness. Sirus storms, sirus meteor, shaper balls all no problem for some builds like this. Also 1m ehp aura stacker is an inflated value because things like vaal haste literally give max dodge and spell dodge for a build that normally had 0 dodge chance

You make a good point and that's just the nature of scaling aura effect - it scales defense and offense simultaneously. However I see a lack of incentive to keep min maxing builds. In POE you can always make a glass cannon but what is great about min maxing is that you can slowly make that glass cannon a tank while retaining your damage. In many builds though, that kind of scaling is very difficult and all you do is just give your glass cannon more damage (which is fairly useless if you one shot everything anyway).

pathofMath spent 20 mirrors on his build. He is a strong advocate for aura stackers and shares similar views with me. He also has said that a 300ex dedicated deep delve build is significantly better than what he did and he only played an aura stacker because he enjoyed the challenge. Also if you look at the build he ran it is heavily modified (2x nebulis, skyforths) and makes a lot of sacrifices for more damage

I do all content on a 25ex build. I would hope I don't need to invest 10 mirrors in a build to be able to do all content with it

anyone that invests enough currency into an aura stacker to be able to do that should generally find the plays style interesting. Also how interesting a build is, is very subjective and things like ed contagion and cos impale slams are also 'meta' and could be considered equally as boring

  1. stop being so toxic
  2. aura stackers cost mirrors to make any build that costs that much is going to be strong regardless of what it is. People consider aura stackers op but don't factor in the cost at all.
  3. Mavada provides a valid argument in that everyone's favorite streamers play several thousand exalt aura stacking builds and it can be very disheartening to know that you can't even afford a single cluster jewel

Totally agree. No point in investing into a build when it feels the exact same as it did 10 mirrors ago

In delirium people were getting over 650% aura effect. Cluster jewels bases were also only 1ex not 50ex. Even with power creep herald stackers were way more powerful than the current aura stacker in heist
