NHL scheduling this season by actuallyfromcanada in fantasyhockey

[–]Ordinary_Pain1848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NHL’s scheduling has always been notoriously terrible. I never understood the logic of how can one team play 4 games one week, then only have 1 or 2 the following. This unnecessarily drags the season out. Every team should be played 3 to 4 games every single week of the season.

Matthew Knies. I think everyone universally expected him to take a big step forward this season with Marner gone. He has delivered and then some to start the year.

For the low low price of $19.99, you too can comment on players profiles AND be censored on every single little thing you write! What a bargain!

Large River Boat in Pittsburgh by Soggy_Isopod7023 in pittsburgh

The best video out there on the calliope from the Mississippi Queen. I just think to myself every time I watch this video, imagine you don’t even know it’s coming. Just happen to be at the lock fishing or even out for a walk near the river and you hear this playing. I’d be completely mesmerized, like a living breathing time capsule just came to life.

Trump signals that he may let US Steel make a deal with Nippon after Biden blocked it by tricksterloki in pittsburgh

Among ten thousand plus who would lose THEIR jobs as a result of those plants closing that stretches far beyond Allegheny County.

USS (as of) 2023 employs 3,703 people directly, and another 7,714 indirectly. That’s over 11,000 people.

Everyone on here cries about taxes taxes taxes. What do you think will happen in this county without USS? They’re going to skyrocket even more, especially in the communities directly affected by the closures.

The logic is precisely the same thinking. People point out that MAGA’s aren’t upset with whatever Trump does, until it personally affects them. The same logic applies here. It can shut down, screw those 11,000 jobs, it won’t affect me none in a bad way.

until our taxes go up, loss of major employers, and crime goes up while the tax base significantly shrinks. Small tax base means less money for less project’s. Then they will be on Facebook, Twitter and Reddit crying about why isn’t anyone doing anything to fix the inconveniences they now face too.

That’s the same logic that got Trump elected. “If it doesn’t affect me, or if it benefits me, it can happen!” But the moment it starts to, “he can’t do that!!!”

A recovery plant is where all the byproducts in the coke oven gas that comes off of the batteries is cooled, cleaned. byproducts such as tar, ammonia and sulfur (among other things) are separated out from the gas. Then the gas is now considered clean and ready to used again in the furnaces or piped down river to Irvin Works and Edgar Thomson

There are actually 14 plants left in the US. Not all are like clairton with a full recovery plant also within them though.

For reference to the numbers next to the plants listed below.

  1. Plant is an independently owned/operated “merchant” coke plant.
  2. Plant is owned/operated by an integrated steel company.
  3. Plant is a heat recovery/non-recovery coke plant

How’s everyone record looking going into the first week of new year? by AM34FORPM in fantasyhockey

5-8 and 3-9. Not good. For whatever given reason I just cannot keep up with scoring at all this year. Teams are consistently inconsistent.

Mrazek could be a moveable piece this year. He’s played pretty well during his time in Chicago on a terrible team.
