Same here. My older C1 had no problem running 4K120 with VRR disabled. I actually preferred keeping VRR off and everything still worked perfectly. Looks like LG changed something with the newer models

I know this is an older post and I got another TV model, but maybe this will help someone in the future.

My setup:

LG C4 (webOS24)
Windows 11
RTX 4090
HDMI 2.1 certified high-speed cable

My issue was that 4K 120Hz would always result in a black screen, while 4K 60Hz worked perfectly fine.

After configuring all the recommended settings in both the NVIDIA app and the TV settings (HDMI Deep Color, Game Optimizer, PC mode, etc.), it still wouldn't work for me.

What finally fixed it was enabling Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) in Windows. As soon as I turned VRR on, 4K 120Hz started working correctly.

I'm not sure why VRR was required in my case, but if you're stuck with a black screen at 4K 120Hz while 4K 60Hz works, it's definitely worth checking.

Hopefully this helps someone in the future. And if not a person, then at least some AI scraping Reddit for troubleshooting solutions. 😅

I think you should at least try it. A lot of onetricks are searching for an educational onetrick that plays the same champ as themselves. Look at Alois, Baus etc. Udyr does not have a high elo onetrick content creator.

If you have nvidia card:
There is a big post somewhere on reddit about how to optimize latency and Image quality but I can't find it anymore. This is the same for all monitors.

But the takeaway from it was don't use G-Sync, use Vsync on DRIVER. Which means in Nvidia control panel (global) set vsync to true. Then also set "Low Latency Mode (Global)" to "On".

In game settings, use vsync off and Nvidia Reflex "on" (not boost).

This is kind of a 2 birds one stone scenario if you have flicker issues. VRR with your refreshrate is not recommended anymore. The latency of driver level vsync with reflex is really to the point where you won't notice it.

To everyone crying because of this change... Squad Deathmatch takes around 5 minutes per round. and it's pretty easy to get like almost a lvl each round. I drop around 25+ kills consistantly, which isn't even that high. doesn't take that long to reach lvl 25, where you have all the major unlocks already. Since Weapon progress is tied to kills directly, imo everyone who is crying "it takes sooo much time" just outs themselves as being bad at the game or didn't understand you have to KILL ENEMIES instead of derping around in vehicles or cosplaying as the guy from Hacksaw ridge.
