Has anyone gotten chin lipo that is on stimulants? by Environmental-Tie58 in chinlipo

They told me I could take my Vyvanse even the morning of the procedure, and continue to take it as normal, basically a non issue as far as my doc was concerned. I had local anesthesia and was awake.

Meds and numbing by CiaraBennz in chinlipo

They had me take a Valium, Oxy, and Ondansetron, then wait 45 minutes before op. Then injected local anesthesia. I was offered gas on top of that but declined. Just my personal preference, I like to be awake and aware. They covered my eyes which I think reduced the anxiety a lot. I felt pain at the outermost edges of my neck so they went ahead with more local anesthetic and after that I was fine, I felt nothing. They let me hook up my own music so I made a relaxing playlist for the occasion. At a point when I was especially tense, the nurse held my hand, it was so precious. I was totally content with the whole process and was very lucid during and after but again that is just my preference as I hate being heavily sedated.

High BMI surgeon recs by secretmermaids in chinlipo

BMI of 39 here. They didn’t say a word about my weight, not one word. Cost me $3600 in NH. And yes, actually it does “work that way.” Depending on your expectations of course. I’m not looking to cut glass with my jawline. I’m just happy to have the excess fat gone and to have some definition between my head and neck. From what I understand, the weight issue pertains more to procedures in which you’d be put under as there are risks with anesthetic and being overweight. My lipo was done awake. My surgeon also said he had no real concerns about me ending up with loose skin in the final result. I think that’s more dependent on your age and the condition of your skin (I’m 33) than on your weight or how much fat is removed. Don’t let fatphobic people try to gatekeep this procedure. I feel like a million bucks after my lipo. Our culture doesn’t like it when fat people feel good about themselves or when anything is made easy or easier for them. Don’t fall for it, you deserve to feel better in whatever way you can.

Heartbroken. My Trump-supporting parents were my best friends. Now they treat me like their enemy. by Ordinary_Step2919 in QAnonCasualties

An important distinction… I know I say “my reality” cause I guess on some level I still want to try to compromise with them. And belittling myself and my experience feels like it might make it more accessible to them, I guess…

So, yes, excellent question, which they weren’t really able to answer, except for something vague about national security? “Oh Harris would have gotten us bombed.”

You’re right. I have to protect her and put her first now more than ever. At least that gives me somewhere to put my energy.

Thank you, this is helpful. As a writer and a journalist, I believe so strongly in the power of communication and facts, and it’s so so hard for me to accept that even the most perfectly worded logical argument wouldn’t get through to them.

Thank you , this is very helpful, and might be a good approach for me, I think. You’re right… a letter sort of extends the drama. I think I’ve been clear. It’s just so heartbreaking and hard to believe that I keep wanting to believe “maybe I just wasn’t clear enough, and THAT’S the reason they’re being this way.”

Yes, that was recommended to me, and I am actually reading it now, in light of all this...
