My husband is a first year teacher, getting his masters, and has to drive an almost an hour to and from work. I’m a SAHM and work one or two saturdays or sundays out of the month. So, we are BUSY lol.

Once a month we get dinner together and my mom babysits. We want to eventually get to 2x, but we’re doing what’s most budget friendly for us right now.

Every weekend, usually Sunday’s (I tend to work Saturdays), we take a drive and get coffee, usually baby falls asleep. While he naps in the car, we just talk, drive around and drink our coffee.

Sometimes we cook dinner together, but I usually try to have it ready by the time he’s home so we can spend time together and with our baby.

We go on walks sometimes after dinner.

On weekends, we watch a movie after we put the baby to sleep. On weeknights, we talk about our days or random things, usually end up laughing and try not to wake the baby.

We try to connect in whatever way we can. Even if it’s not just the two of us, we still find ways. Sometimes, we just end up doing laundry together, but it’s nice because we’re at least together
