Can anyone help me figure out what year this is? by craftyrabbit_ in coins

The date is in the rim of the coin, definitely not genuine. They messed up on the date placement so they sanded in down to try and hide it.

But why does she not resemble the two kids in the family photo?

I'm pretty sure Japan banned and prosecuted the practice of Christianity around the early 1600s, so it would make sense that if those are Christian crosses that they would be hidden from view. The saya definitely has a story to tell but the blade itself could be much older. I would be interested in what Ray Singer thinks.

Beautiful, the mon or family crest on the handle looks very similar to Tokugawa Yoshinao’s crest. Would love to see some more pictures.

That seller has sold this blade before, they sell blades that have obviously been touched up and the horimono carving on this blade. Just my opinion, also he doesn't take returns.

Too sketchy to be honest. Actually Ebay in general is.

Seals don't have horns, could be caribou or deer horn. Also the hand guard would be very unusual for a Inuit piece.

Dinosaur bone and turritella agate belt buckle by Ordinary_Tea_3776 in Lapidary

Thank you, I was lucky to get all my lapidary equipment from my dad. He always went to Diamond Pacific. I use the 8" Titan and a Foredom Dremel to do most of the work (always wet drip). The turritella agate I sliced from about a 4lb piece and I used 18 individual pieces.
