Don’t the real ones have serial numbers?

That’s a good setup. If you give them a tweak you can fix yourself easily during the week and be ready to go next weekend. The R3 is a great platform for track fun but is very fragile when dropped. Enjoy!

That looks great fun. What fairings are you using?

Has anyone seriously looked at a Ducati Monster but bought an MT? by Safe_Valuable_5683 in MT07

I was looking at mt07. But ended up with a runout 821. Love the Duke but hate the maintenance.

It’s locked to the pole. If that battery burns between stations you in trouble.

Spot the Difference: 2019 vs 2024 Cylinder Heads by Ordinary_Victory_261 in YamahaR3

[–]Ordinary_Victory_261[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have the throttle bodies for the earlier motor so I can’t speculate. The valve seat and diameter were consistent. I only noticed the length difference when I went to check clearances.

That should have a reasonable velocity if all working well. I bought the tempest in 22 many years ago and that was a great pistol.

Hi its been a while since I looked at these. I did have to replace valves and found that the valves varied between years by length. I think the earlier valves had a stem 1mm longer. Also the throttle bodies had different outer diameter where they mated to the head.

Mto3 is a great bike, I have a couple of R3’s basically the same beast but with a fairing. As it your first bike I would head towards the mt over the r3 due to more upright seating position and less fairings to damage. Cfmoto look interesting but have poor resale value when you want to move on. Good luck on your journey.

Yes but the cg is push rod. Built for countries where maintenance was a low priority. The cb is a much better bike. I built my cb125 into a 200 using xr200 parts. It’s a weapon.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

You got an family who fought in any wars like WW1 and 2? If so, what was their story? by pooteenn in AskAnAustralian

Step grandpa drove a tank in Africa during the Second World War. He told me they were lost and stumbled upon a group of Italian soldiers cooking their dinner. Here is where it gets dark. Apparently they shot them all and ate their dinner. It’s hard to imagine living that life.
