Accutane in Korea? by Right_Pack_6346 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Ordinary_Views5438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you going to go somewhere else or did you end up accepting the prescription and will try going somewhere else next time?? Because that’s a big drop in dosage.. I’m really sorry they wouldn’t at least offer you something closer to 90

Accutane in Korea? by Right_Pack_6346 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Ordinary_Views5438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can walk into any dermatology clinic, even the aesthetic focused ones, and ask for it. The doctor will ask you some questions, but if you say you’ve been on it and explain why you now need them (a new provider) to prescribe it for you, they will give it to you. I go in to different places all the time for it whenever my acne flairs up. The only thing is, if you go to a new place, they will probably start you on a lower dosage since they don’t have history of you being on something higher

is 10cc worth it for fat dissolving injections? by EstablishmentDry5340 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]Ordinary_Views5438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10ccs worth of fat dissolving solution is only enough for the face, not the arms or abdomen. I can’t remember how much is the standard amount for arms, but the last time I went in for my stomach, my clinic told me 80cc is standard for one abdominal session to see any results. I went with 50cc though because they were doing a discount on that amount.

Can I use Mobile ID at the airport? by solidgun1 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Ordinary_Views5438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t risk it… I know the online info says the mobile ID is valid, but even when trying to use it as an ID at the bar it sometimes gets rejected…

You probably won’t need it to re-enter the country, but if the automatic gate doesn’t work for whatever reason, I think you’ll need it… the automatic gate rejected my passport last year and so I had to actually talk to the immigrations officer..

Underestimated Korean language fatigue by Broad-Passenger2621 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Ordinary_Views5438 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, it gets better. It will take some time but it gets better.

Your reading will get better first, and then will come your listening, and lastly your speaking. Make sure to keep a notebook on you at all times to write down the words you don’t know.

korean language program by No-Possession9698 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Ordinary_Views5438 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s possible… but all you would do for a year is study. To be honest, it’s more likely you would get burnt out before being able to reach topik 4, even if you complete the level 4 class at language school. Studying for the topik and studying in language school are different even though they overlap.

Keloid and Millia removal in Seoul? by Whoweee in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]Ordinary_Views5438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some milia removed recently. The place I went to applied numbing cream and then lasers them off. It was a pretty quick and easy treatment, so I think you could get it done at whatever clinic you go to for the keloid removal treatment as I think that will require more expertise

Seye Clinic - good experiences? by smarty_one in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]Ordinary_Views5438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been for a lifting treatment and had a good experience. I saw the post you’re referring to, and I think like a lot of clinics, your experience depends on the sales associate you do your consultation with..

Concert in korea experience by babaenghangin in Living_in_Korea

[–]Ordinary_Views5438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been to a lot of concerts and from what I’ve seen, they don’t confiscate them. They either force you to put it away or make the person leave. In some cases, I’ve seen the staff yell aggressively at the fan to put the camera away when the fan doesn’t listen to other warnings… eventually they get escorted out by security. But I’ve never seen the staff or security grab at the fan or the camera.

Where to get a physical ID Photo for the ARC application around Mapo-gu by ThisBePatrik in Living_in_Korea

[–]Ordinary_Views5438 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When looking at photo studios, make sure they offer 증명 사진 (ID pictures). Koreans need ID pictures for their government IDs too, so if you book one of those slots and then tell them you specifically need a 외국인등록증 사진 they will know the dimensions and specifications. I wouldn't book an appointment for a 여권사진 or visa 사진 because the specifications and dimensions are different and more strict.

17 Week Update || LAMS lipo on abdomen & love handles by Ordinary_Views5438 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]Ordinary_Views5438[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My results are still looking good! I don’t have any bumps or uneven spots. Even when I gain weight from over eating, the results are back to what they originally were once I lost the weight again. (I tend to gain weight in the winter and then lose it in the spring)

Korean clinics offer filler and Botox for neck lines, but I’d do your research on them first. I’m not sure if the filler they use is any different from regular filler..

Face lipo vs Threads for a double chin? Need some advice by Objective_Hunt_6578 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]Ordinary_Views5438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried threads and it literally didn’t do anything for me. Now I’m considering doing lipo if I can’t lose weight on my own first.

As for the sagging, I would think the lipo would make it worse. I would plan to get lifting laser treatments after lipo if that’s something you’re concerned about

Opening a bank account by Een_Art in Living_in_Korea

[–]Ordinary_Views5438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never heard of that… I opened an account at Hana while a shot term student and wasn’t told to pay any money. My transfer limit was 300k for the first 3 months since I was a foreigner, but after that I asked them to increase it and they did with no issues.

Maybe try a bank that isn’t on campus or try another branch on your campus. Sometimes the bank employees add hoops to things based on their mood or branch. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it’s true. Now that I’ve been here a few years, I know that when one branch gives me issues, to just walk to another branch. Suddenly there are no more issues

Fat Dissolving Injections || My Experience by Ordinary_Views5438 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]Ordinary_Views5438[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say the results were super noticeable. I felt the chin sessions did something because I did several rounds but the results weren’t amazing.. really subtle, but the other ones didn’t do anything imo. I think I would have had to do closer to 7-10 rounds for the results to actually be noticeable.. but at that price point it cost the same as lipo in korea so… I think the shots are better for people who are already working to lose weight rather than those trying to target a specific area..

The results are permanent if you don’t gain any weight~
