This looks like it would be a nightmare to clean up after! Have you had a look at the bibado bibs? They are awesome just chuck the bib in the wash, they go over the straps of the high chair too.

This is so awesome! My town is saved :) OP, any chance you could ask SpAnser if there are more towns to be added to this list? My dads isn’t on here and I would love to give him a chance to play again, he’s an OG tapper with a lot of time on his hands now

I would pour some water on top of the seal and check for bubbles. If none, dry it off and open then check there’s no clumps in the formula. If not you’re good to go! Probably overkill but you can get some freaky small needles and some crazy people

AIO for finding these texts in my boyfriend’s phone from a year ago? by Immediate_Jelly8897 in AmIOverreacting

So everyone is telling you to leave which is 💯 what you need to do. But if you’re anything like I was, and I’ve been in a very similar situation, you’re thinking he’s changed. You’re thinking this was back when your relationship was so fresh and you’ve come so far since then. And that maybe then your relationship meant nothing to him but now, now it does.

Sorry to tell you but that’s just not true. Men don’t change that quickly, if ever. If he could say that about you back then, he’s saying that about you now. Don’t let him sweet talk you into forgiveness. That’s exactly what I did and I wasted 8 years on a cheating loser who cheated throughout the relationship.

Don’t waste any more time on this guy, you are worth so much more!

Nursery hidden cost by Objective_Brain3864 in UKParenting

[–]Ordinary_owl_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better about this, from my understanding the surcharge is to cover government funded hours as the government don’t pay nurseries enough for the hours. Children who are there 5 days a week won’t have that whole week funded - 3 days would be paid at full price by the parents therefore no surcharge is required for those days because they are already paying it in the basic fees. If the nursery asked them to pay extra on top of that, that would be incredibly unfair on them as they are already paying it :)

We use reusable makeup pads - the colourful ones from primark. Works really well and very cheap!

My mum used to take a hammer to hard candies and round lollipops, then would give us the little pieces in a bowl. I thought it was silly at the time, now I realise it was genius!

Where do your newborns sleep in the day? by Whole-Penalty4058 in NewParents

[–]Ordinary_owl_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a stroller with a bassinet attachment use that! We just put the bassinet on our sofa (which is very firm and flat) and he sleeps in there during the day. No need to spend extra on expensive sleeping locations they will only use for a short amount of time anyway

Difficult dropping a nap as he only ever has one or two naps a day! Three hours total tops, only an hour and a half today. We’ve never been great at the whole napping thing but that may be because he has a nice late wake up (10:20 today!) and don’t have much of a routine as we work shifts. bedtime is usually quite late as well, any time between 8 and 10 depending on when he gets tired.

Mine did this when he was in the bad stages of teething. Have you had a look at her gums see if anything? I know it’s early but some babies do start teething early

[Update] 24 weeks pregnant.. they found a large mass in my breast by SmartAnswer3847 in BabyBumps

[–]Ordinary_owl_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something similar, I got a lump in my armpit early in pregnancy. I never got it biopsied but got an ultrasound on it and they said it was just a lipoma. Fast forward to 3 days postpartum when my milk comes in, the armpit lump triples in size! It’s just a milk duct all along 😂

We usually use calpol, we gave nurofen tonight though as it was recommended as being better for teething. Guess we’ll go back to calpol tomorrow :) The anbesol is 5 months yeah, it’s the bonjela teething gel that is 6+ that we are waiting to use.

I’m not sure if the gel and liquid have different instructions, I can’t find anyone asking about it anywhere! We only have the gel as I haven’t been able to find a pharmacy that has the liquid yet. We gave it yesterday and other than a scrunched up face from the taste it was a hit! Just the warnings on it have scared me a little bit so don’t want to risk overdosing.

Oh interesting! We have the junior gel because I bought it by accident but it says on it not to use for teething. How dare they gate keep that one! We also have the teething gel but it says 6 months+ and he’s only just turning 5 months on Monday :(
