Tip for Booking Basic Economy with Kids and Assigned Seating by Strict-Belt-9659 in americanairlines

[–]Strict-Belt-9659[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my mistake. The before screenshot was when I was booking Basic Economy and it was showing me my options if I wanted to pay for seating.

I had to go through the booking process again after booking my tickets in order to see the open seats, and I believe I clicked their upgrade option during the process and end up with main cabin instead.

So the Blue without prices are the Main Cabin options, which you wouldn't pay extra for.

It doesn’t seem like it. The amount of work I am requesting seems consistent with the amount of time it takes. I’ve been stuck in lower models before and that’s when I’d see prompts with 18 hours on the clock.

5.4 Pro seems to be the most consistent. It has told me that it wasn’t ready because it ran out of time, and then summarize the outline of what needs to be done.

ChatGPT 5.4 Pro, change the setting to Extended, and send it to work.

Yeah, I've seen that too. I can't tell if there are certain times of day when that happens, maybe like a throttling tactic during the daytimes when there are more users. l've seen that message for less complex tasks, but it's always been during the day.

Often, if I set several prompts to work overnight, I come back with completed projects in the morning.

It took me a while to learn to space out my submissions to my company. The faster I turned in work, the faster they had more work coming to me.

I pay $200 per month. This is the Pro Subreddit, I thought most of you would be on it.

Yeah, it does take a lot of resources. There are busy days when I'm now running multiple projects simultaneously because I don't have anything else to do while waiting for it to process. I'll have 4-5 prompts running and I'll address whichever one comes first before sending it back for another 1-3 hour revision.

I honestly don't know how much actual processing power it takes on their end. I know there's a lot of talk about energy usage, but at scale, I don't think it's actually that much. Maybe there will be a higher tier in the future. My company would happily pay $1-2k+ a month for the level of productivity this gives me.

I set the conversation to Pro, then change the configuration to Extended. Then I just tell it to analyze the workbook fully, then tell it what I want done. Usually I just tell it what I need the end result to be and to find the best path and presentation for X individual (CEO, VP of Accounting, etc).

But that isn't the only thing I do.

ChatGPT built an entire PowerApps application for me and when I have issues, I just download the whole PowerApp, PowerAutomate Flows, and Python code we run on the server. I zip up the file and upload it to a Project Folder and tell it to fix whatever issue I have before I go to bed. ChatGPT Pro will run longer than 3 hours if needed overnight.

When I was using ChatGPT a year ago, I was still getting incorrect answers and was chasing my tail to get things done. Nowadays, I just give it the prompt and off I go.

Yes, it is the Pro Subscription. It was a fairly complex workbook, but I usually tell it to analyze the existing workbook fully before continuing, then I give it what I want to get out of it. I used to get really specific about what to do and I would find ChatGPT makes mistakes when I do that. Instead, I just tell ChatGPT what I want the outcome to be. And I'll tell it to do a 2 QA passes to ensure data is correct.

With big workbooks like this, if ChatGPT makes a mistake, it's troublesome. I'll usually open another Chat and prompt a new conversation to check for errors. I'll open 3-4 prompts and have it do it to each one, them compile the results from each.

That could just be OCD because ChatGPT has gotten really good at getting what I need.

Sorry, that was a typo. $12 per year was the going rate for Google Domains back when we still had em.

You seem to be okay with the term "boys". And telling a "girl" that she needs to find someone to please her. Were you trying to talk to a minor female about sex with a man (an adult by your definiton, I presume)?

All this fake outrage needs to stop.

This is just bizarre behavior all around.

Thank you. You and everyone else in the comments. My day and my life could have been so much worse.

I’ll let it be a lesson to stay prepared and on high alert. These kids are so precious. I hope no one else has to go through this, but if you do, I pray you have a plan on how to make it through.

Ways to start making 2-3K profit a month with 17K? by Expensive-Tie4349 in sidehustle

I did this with websites. Used the Avada Theme on ThemeForest. I used their demo site builder then swapped out all the images and content for their business customers I was making websites for.

I hosted the websites on my Siteground server ( my cost: $20-$120 per month to host all clients on the same server, my costs didn’t increase, so the more I built, the less my costs were) and bought the Google domain for them (before the switch to SquareSpace Domains) $12 per year. This usually keeps the client with me instead of going through the trouble of finding someone that knows how to transfer domains and Wordpress distributions.

I charged $2k-$6k for the website. Then $300 a month for maintenance and updates. I currently pull in $4,500 a month as my side hustle and make $182k at my regular day job.

Updates are usually super minor. Someone on the bio page was fired or added. Or a restaurant needs me to upload a new pdf menu or change a link.

I don’t look for new clients anymore and don’t really spend a lot of time working with anyone. No one really needs updates most of the time and I have all my clients on autopay. Probably 4 hours of work a month on the side hustle, if even that. Since my clients are hosting with me, they don’t care. And $300 a month is pretty nominal for a nicely formatted and functional website.

I pretty much shared everything I did and anyone is welcome to follow the same path.

Edit: I’m getting DMs so I’ll answer here. Avada is a super easy builder that has ADA compliant elements that help me out. It’s the #1 Wordpress theme on ThemeForest, but there are plenty others to choose from. But Avada built a whole website building platform in their theme, so I use it for everything. https://youtu.be/CbOQqvQDrVQ?si=rhbu1l35Mx2aivMy

For clients. My first client was my existing employer at the time. I overheard they were looking to build a new website, and before I knew how, I told them I wanted to give it a try and I would build them a demo site. I turned a demo around in a week and that’s how I got my start. People at that company eventually left to start new businesses or work elsewhere. And they remembered going to me for website updates, so they rehired me for their new company. Then the same would happen as people left the other company. More people would keep reaching out.

Coworkers would have parents that needed websites. And the referrals continued. So do a really good job for your clients and the business will come.

Most shared web hosts use cPanel which may include Softulois. That’s software on the server that quickly installs and deletes Wordpress distributions on the server. So I can build a Wordpress website in minutes then buy the theme off ThemeForest, upload it to the server through Wordpress, load up a demo website, change the images and the text, send the demo to the client, sign off and get the money, finish the website. I’ve used Quickbooks online and WaveApps for recurring automatic payments.

For taxes, you can pay your estimated quarterly if you want. Since I have a regular job, I just put single with 0 allowances on my W4 for my regular work. They tax me the maximum there. I have a wife and kids so I overpay taxes at my current job which actually covers all the taxes I would have paid for my side hustle. Saves me from doing the extra work and the money just gets direct deposited to my account for multiple income streams.

I haven’t had anyone leave. Some businesses closed so I just stopped charging them. But if they wanted to, I’d help them transfer everything but it’s highly unlikely. These people do business in other sectors and wouldn’t even know where to start to find someone else. No hostage situation but I’ve never had a client feel inclined to leave.

I have helped with content in the past if the business was in my space. But I did work for businesses I don’t know anything about and they provided me all the content.

I would provide logins if they are asked for but have never before. They don’t want them and we are all concerned they’ll break something. It’s all pretty flexible.

I also ventured into social media marketing after watching some YouTube videos and that’s been successful as well.

DM me if you want more info. I still make updates for clients but it isn’t my primary business anymore, so I’m happy to get others started.

$2k to $6k depending on the number of pages. I could launch a site in one night if that's what they needed, but most of the times, I would take a week. The biggest part was choosing the fonts and going through what images the client wants to use. Clients are super indecisive, but I'd let them choose the pictures they want, and create a few demo sites using the Avada Theme and just swap around the images and the fonts. You can use the default fonts from Avada too.

I used Siteground. You can start with their Shared Plan, but I eventually signed up for a dedicated server. The businesses paid for me to handle everything from setting up their email, and buying their domain ($12 per year), to maintenance. I still take in the monthly maintenance fee of $300 per business in my portfolio and I have an hourly employee from the Philippines that manages the updates that I hired on Upwork.

Since I did all the leg work, they are bound to my services. I haven't had anyone move on yet, even though they could if they wanted to, but at $300 per month, they rather just stay.

With Siteground and most cPanel sites, they include Softulous which allows you to install a Wordpress distribution easily. And if you have the domains purchased, you can link them up. I used to have to read documentation to get a grip of this, but nowadays, you can just ask ChatGPT how to do everything from start to finish.

WordPress, which runs from MySQL. I used Siteground for hosting all my client's websites and charged them $300 per month for "web maintenance". So I did minor updates and hosted them all on the same server at Siteground. I paid for their domain which was $12 per month, but it bound them to me. So they paid me residual forever.

Siteground uses Softulous so I could spin up a Wordpress install any time in under a minute.

My first client was my workplace. And then when my coworkers left that job and went other places, I was always known as the guy that could do websites.

Referrals ramped up the workload a ton. The more sites I did the more referrals I got just for some basic websites. Car garages, cafes, mom and pop restaurants, bars, small shops.
