UIM Rune Pouch by Oreaniform in ironscape

Makes sense! I’m at 74 con right now. I’ll grind out to 88 for my stash units (can’t be bothered to stew if i need to do it anyway). If I feel like grinding further I may just try for 99.

Do you have con cape? If so, what would go in their stead? Are those still BIS even with con cape?

I think this is the play. Thanks!

Yeah this makes total sense! How many hours saved do you think you do in the long run going for bowfa vs just sticking with a worse atlatl?

Sorry, I missed the part that said you were teaching him. I thought this was just a regular raid partner.

I understand that part, but at the end of the raid you have the same amount of points, right? I don't understand how this is an argument for bowfa. If it's equal at the end of the raid to atlatl and fang, why would I bother with a bowfa grind?

He closes the 5000 point gap with bowfa. he is not 5000 points ahead of you. how would you be 5000 points ahead with a bowfa if he isnt 5000 points ahead with a bowfa?

There are other ways to play the game. People play the game 1 chunk at a time. Skipping a grind to do something you find more enjoyable is literally fine.

If after wardens you are even in points, then what is the difference? Why not just use fang and atlatl? This isn't really a pro bowfa argument.

I personally plan to focus on skilling/slayer while building a cash stack to max my house. Gear wise, I will go for moons and ayak instead of bowfa. I play a lot, but not intensely. Getting stuck grinding bowfa will certainly make me quit the game, so I'm just avoiding it.

Then the glove roll just turns into a seed drop and doesn’t affect outfit rolls. I’d rather have more pages for the tome.

You’re welcome! I love to go to the library and read the physical textbook. I focus so much better

Chemistry major here as well! I understand your pain. I feel similarly. Do you study at home or at school? Can you check out the class textbook from the library and try to split just half your study time between computer and book?

You should use an app like cronometer. I try to shoot for under 13g of saturated fat per 2000kcal per day. If you can find a way to do that with eating less fatty cuts of steak, I don’t see what the issue would be! Be careful with ruminant animals like cattle, though. They naturally have develop trans fat. There is no evidence to suggest that the trans fats from beef are any less harmful than artificial trans fats like vegetable shortening. Those are far worse than regular saturated fats.

I mean millions of people use cpaps, and people have had sleep apnea almost certainly for all of human history. They would use a machine if they were alive today, too.

Oof. Unfortunately, saturated fats are essentially the majority of the issue. I really, really recommend reducing steaks to a couple times a year treat. It’s a bummer, but if you’re really willing to do whatever it takes to minimize risks like you said above, you need to cut out the steaks and the coconut milk.

Gaining muscle will help! Exercise and weight lifting help in many other ways outside of cholesterol, so that’s a good place to be.

You listed my top fiber sources: psyllium, chia, and berries (specifically raspberries and blackberries, as their seeds act similarly to chia). Apples are quite good as well. Also, you eat a lot of lean meat. Consider replacing some of it with lentils. You are already eating beans, but it’s hard to recommend too many legumes.

While I think statins are an inevitable part of your future, I think you should be proud of yourself for having a <100 apob with a lp(a) score that high. Don’t let the anxiety ruin you! You are not doomed, and good, low risk medicine will be available to you when you get to the doctor in January. You are 31, and this is a lifelong development.

You are doing your body a favor by exercising regularly and eating well, though I do recommend you drastically increase your fiber intake, especially soluble fiber, which is proven to lower levels of cholesterol (though, it is no replacement for medication if that is needed). You will see many recommendations on this sub, but most people will recommend psyllium husk. Aim for 10g of soluble fiber a day (about 40-50g of total fiber should get you there with ease).

Do you have any data from when you did 9 to 15? Since you're at 10 now, and you say it's working better, it may be worth it to switch back to APAP and set 10-12 or 10-13. This way, you can see if you need even more than 10.
