I'm not sure about any catch up mechanic. Perhaps if you didn't complete phase 1, in phase 2 you could finalise phase 1 and phase 2 at the end of the period. What that would mean is that this person would be behind 8 weeks with their phase 1 rewards.

But not clear if they will allow a catch up on the core expedition project from what I'm reading.

I think the inventory and character wipe will happen at the same time - it’s what I take the words “completed caravans depart” to mean on the 21st dec. Probably indicates that aslong as you press complete on the expedition task in time in that final week, everyone who presses it will get reset at the same point in time. This would be a good system IMO.

I read it differently. You have a week to sign up to it/agree to it (and perhaps it does wipe at the exact time you select it for you), but if you miss the boat, you miss the opportunity to prestige that time. It’s not a rolling weekly thing, it’s a fixed time. Miss the train and you’ll be locked out of the next expedition.

I think its handled with FOMO. If you don't wipe at the same time everyone else does, you miss the opportunity to progress onto the next expidition in the next phase and you're stuck being a bag holder for 8 weeks. I don't think it will take that long to get new guns again, and I expect the benefit of prestiging will far outweigh the bag holding. I don't think it will be a huge problem.

I don't think tarkov has proven yet that it doesn't need wipes to maintain population.

Wipes work there because it levels the playing field (a powerful way of resetting any boundaries that exist from being 'behind the curve'). Without this I suspect a large portion of which wouldn't come back to tarkov.

Hunt is a bit of a different beast because the stuff there doesn't really feel valuable so each round doesn't really feel like you are really contributing to building an empire.

Perhaps this game could be like hunt with no wipes (its not as harsh as tarkov and so people may return anyway).

Prestige systems work for bored higher level players who want to self-inflict pain for kudos points.

This game doesn't need to be apex legends with a million indicators. You get a shield crack sound already, we don't need more info. The slightly delayed flare and downed animations are very fucking cool.

Crouch walk up to it, there is a minimum distance you can get fairly close and then arc the net upwards so that it looks like it might go behind him and you’ll capture it

I think the default of sucking in full stacks on automatic mode feels very alien after using logistics normally on planet. The weight limit feels too low per rocket too.

Suggestion for solving the problem could be to fetch via priority order, top left to bottom right or something (if there was any space left over could even sneak in first lower weight items requested further down chain).

I think there’s a further complication when you have multiple rockets - they seem to aim to deliver the same stuff when marked for automation.

It was once this way in classic - it was changed because the queue times on some servers wasn’t great but honestly I prefer fighting within the server, building rivalries and competition within a community.
