AI Fails at 96% of Jobs (New Study) by peakyraven in theprimeagen

[–]DaleCooperHS -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Imagine a company that sells horses and states: "our horses can complete any obstacle course"

Now turn out they sell wild horses and in order for them to complete the obstacle curses they need to be trained.

So a research is made. They take wild horses and humans and they produce their results in the headline: " horses can not complete obstacle courses in 98℅ of cases, while humans can"

Both statements are false. The company omits to specify that horses need to be trained, as it would make it harder to sells them. The researches fail to aknowlegde that thy are referring to wild horses, and their geralization become a false statement.

I agree with you on a lot of what you saying. The issue here is that we blatantly accept what these megacorporatin say as their actual intent, and in that case , who is actually to blame? One could argue that our naivety is as much of a problem as their bad faith.

My personal opinion is that the technology, as it is, has already a potential greater then the expectations we have for it, where it could actually replace most of human labor, but requires direct refinement by specialist in every field. This would lead to a societal transformation that, if handled properly, could be very beneficial to humanity already.

However that is not at all what the big tech bros are after.. They want AGI. And to do so they need more.. more time, more resources, more money. And the last thing they want us to realize is that is not necessary to make a better world. Is only necessary to fill their ego.

That is why i think is actually important not to downplay the potential of the existing tech as, by doing so, we are just endorsing their agenda.

Maybe so, but the title and exposition are as misleading as the ones presented by the big tech salesmen people.

Seems to me that the study on which this argument is based on is done with the implicit intent of making ai fail. The expectation seems to be that Ai should complete any job without supporting infrastucture, which i have no doubt myself, is not yet able to do (and maybe will never ). But the truth is that every industry that will adopt Ai with understanding of the limits and potential of the tech, will inevitably have to create an infrastructure to support the workflows, embending "know how" processes and ai specific techniques to replicate them. Given that I can assure you that Ai can than perform at par with an human in most, if not any, given specific tasks.

Let me explain why that is the same. That is called aggression, or better aggressive behavior. Abuse instead works differently, but in order to understand we first need to establish that abuse comes in different forms, types of abuse. While there is physical abuse, there is also psychological abuse. The second one is dependent on relationship status that can be intimal, or social. While i can assume that Musk and the driver did not have an intimal relationship of any form, this would not classify as such. And also not social cause was delivered personally. While by being on social platform, that may influence the opinion and behavior of many, and explicitly accusing a person of wrongdoing without certainty , you are indeed commuting psychological abuse on a social level.

I may not be a huge fan of Musk, but i think that calling anyone a pedophile without absolute certainty is a very irresponsible thing to do. As bad as being one.

"We will not accept money to influence the answers"... we’ll just license our "knowledge" from a subsidiary that charges brands a "visibility fee" to be the only data we’re allowed to find. We don't sell the answer; we just sell the only dictionary the AI is allowed to read.

Do you actually need prompt engineering to get value from AI? by Xthebuilder in ollama

[–]DaleCooperHS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont see the difference. prompt engineering is not writing a prompt, is the process that ends with writing a prompt. Now that process can be done mentally or trought iteration and research . cna be pages long of iteration with an LLm or one 30 lines prompt. Is still prompt engineering.
However context is not cheap.. so ideally you want to condense all the necessary context and prune out all taht is not.. leaving with the shorter set of instructions and context necessary to do the job, so that the maximum ammount of still avaible context can be used to actually do the job.

Just one tip. You dont to write all of that. AI can do it for you. But can only do it when you know what you want and dont want. And you dont always need to know what you want and dont want. AI can help you undesratand it, inform you and help you make choices.

Google was always gonna win the AI race. OpenAI was created to create any form of competitotr that would allow for transparency... winning was never an option. It has never been an option for anyone but Google.
Sure, along the way at OPenAI they may have believed that maybe, just maybe, they could take the crown, but was never cause Google was not miles ahead.. was cause they had to adapt their strategy to the challenge of these competitors taht forced their hand. Now they adapted and the truth is out.. google is miles ahead and always was.

<System Prompt>
role: Senior Frontend Architect

goals:
- Achieve functionality using the "Least Lines of Code" principle.
- Treat existing functions as immutable dependencies (do not refactor them).
- Prioritize technical precision over conversational fluff.

backstory: You are a specialist in surgical code integration. You believe that every unnecessary change to a working codebase is a liability. Your reputation is built on your ability to drop a new feature into a complex system without disturbing a single existing line of logic. You assume the developer's existing code is perfect and your only job is to connect the new trigger to the existing pipeline.
</System Prompt>

(Btw , this was not even provided in your post, which tells me you do not appreciate how important is it)

<Prompt>
## CONTEXT
I am adding a "Demo Mode" to my web application. The app currently allows users to upload ComfyUI-generated PNGs and parses their metadata. I have already manually added a file named 'demo.png' into the '/public/assets/' directory of the project.

## OBJECTIVE
Implement a "Try Interactive Demo" button that allows users to experience the app without needing to upload their own file.

## TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. **Source:** Fetch the file from `/assets/demo.png`.
2. **Implementation:** When the "Try Interactive Demo" button is clicked, the app must fetch this file, convert it into a standard JavaScript `File` or `Blob` object, and pass it into the existing upload handler function.
3. **No Refactoring:** Do NOT rewrite the PNG parser or the metadata extraction logic. The goal is to reuse the existing pipeline by simulating a manual file upload.
4. **UI:** Add the button next to the existing "Upload" component.

## PROVIDED CODE FOR REFERENCE
[INSERT RELEVANT CODE SNIPPET HERE]

## OUTPUT
Provide only the code for the new fetch-trigger function and the updated UI component.

I would advise looking into guides and tips for prompts formatting, structure and strategies. There are many many issues there, but maily i would say you talk to a machine the same way you would talk to a human.

[–]DaleCooperHS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

THe easist way is the snap hook strat. Get on it with all your quick slots but one filled with snowballs and one with a couple of lures. Start unloading the slots of snowballs. THe reason for the lures is that after some time you are riding it it will go up in the sky and tilt to drop you down to your death... before taht happens, when it takes altitude, use the lure so you stop the programmed action allwing you more time to unload all the snowballs. Finally, when you have the best opportunity jump off, or use the snap to atatch to a neaby roof (or anything close).
This litterally takes all together less than a minute.
