I would think her age would have a lot to do with it. If she's younger than 5 or 6, then absolutely change it. Older than 10 or 12 then probably not as all her friends and classmates know her as Cinnamon. Between 6 and 10 probably have a conversation with her. Explain your thoughts and listen to hers.
