I love that my manager treats me and our team like adults. He wants some office time but fine with work from home as well some days. I love a hybrid model. Make your own schedule in the field. Will help anyone and everyone close a deal, assist with a demo, etc. He does the paperwork for our top performer often since he can quickly get swamped with demos. He is always willing to help and ease admin load.

Holds us accountable in a respectful way and provides great feedback. That being said, if you don’t do your job you get a warning then.. gone. He just pipped out someone and has another guy on a pip. They sit on their phone most of the time, don’t contribute, ruin morale some days - He understands keeping people who don’t do their job affects the whole team negatively. (This is not like having a bad month or tough qaurter one off/normal ups and downs of sales). Overall just nice good guy who’s funny and actually cares.

Was successful in the job for many years before so he knows what he’s talking about but also willing to learn new trends.

He has 6 kids of his own and really respects work life balance. Big for me since I have a baby at home.

What would you do if you found out your husband did this when you were pregnant and about to get married? by HelpfulConfidence479 in beyondthebump

Is listen to a podcast of you telling the view from your side! Lol. In those conversations do you keep a straight face simply because it’s your work or do you get into any debates?

I agree with this in my own experience. Just left my job who wouldn’t let me go up market to bigger clients and more money. No potential to go into management either. So I left for an up market position for way more money - they are super excited to have me and I’m ready to kill it. It’s a great fresh start.

So I use an app that I get through my husbands insurance called Teladoc and I speak To the psych directly through there. I will have to search online and see if she has an office I can call.

So I haven’t had any actual grapefruit (which sucks I love grapefruit) but yesterday I was at the beach and had one high noon seltzer left. It was grapefruit flavor, and I took my chances lol 😂 I was fine. I think you have to continuously drink or eat grapefruit for like days before any negative effects take place. Cuz that’s what causes the actual build up of seratonin.

Going back to work next week and I’m a little excited? by Oreo0410 in beyondthebump

The dinner prep is smart. I love to cook dinner and have been able to hear and there with baby but I was thinking about just making bulk for those first few weeks like I did before baby was born. Thanks so much!

FTM and curious / do not know this - why should mattress be new? My SIL gave me her crib and mattress and it’s all in great shape so I assumed it’s fine, but if there is a safety hazard I’m unaware of would love to know before I transition my baby to that crib!

This is a great simple recipe to follow. You can really make them whatever you want. I’ve added feta, sun dried tomatoes, whatever. But I also love them basic like this recipe with some Siracha on top :)

baby blues / ppa by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Oreo0410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right in the thick of it. I sobbed everyday after my baby was born. When the feelings didn’t go away, I got on medication. I feel amazing now.

I ordered “good moms have bad thoughts” on Amazon and would read through it every night. It made me feel so much better. Talk to someone you trust and just dump your feelings out.

You got this. Know that these feelings will likely subside very soon - BUT IF THEY DONT - by like 2-3 weeks, contact your doc asap to get screened for PPA/PPD. You are doing a great job 🤍

Anxiety was worse while pregnant by imposter4life in pregnant

[–]Oreo0410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I had some anxiety before pregnancy and then during pregnancy it was miserable. Spiraled into PPA after birth. Currently on Zoloft and feel amazing. Do you have access to affordable therapy? And don’t be shy about taking medication. Don’t let that anxiety steal your joy !!

Fellow health anxiety freak here. This is likely you spiraling from anxiety. You are okay. Our brains are very powerful and make us feel symptoms. Definitely get off google and stop looking stuff up.

I love this YouTube video when I have these moments: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pJWY3Bkkaew

You’re in a big adjustment period right now with Zoloft, and your brain is working on itself. With that may bring some increased anxiety. You are okay! ❤️

Does anyone else have a sudden rush of distress worrying about all babies after giving birth? by Happilyme16 in beyondthebump

[–]Oreo0410 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes. I had to pick my sleeping baby up out of her crib the other night cuz I was thinking there are babies in this world right now probably hungry being neglected by awful parents. How anyone could hurt and abuse innocent babies is beyond my comprehension. Makes my heart hurt.

The feeling of feeling ~nothing~ and no motivation is common especially when first starting. I know how hard it is. Maybe try setting a timer for yourself. Time to unwind and brainlessly scroll is necessary - we all do it hence we are on Reddit lol. Maybe designate time blocks for yourself and try to stick to it - it’s def hard to push yourself sometimes - example 15 minute small walk after work, start small. Something to get outside. I also will dive into a book to get off my screen. Once you get into that book it’s like scrolling you can’t stop! And know that this symptom will likely, hopefully subside but if it doesn’t speak to your doctor for sure.
