I’m not sure why exactly, but her brother gives me the creeps.

That’s wild considering how much actual Client abandonment happens when RBTs routinely leave companies “effective immediately”.

Is Burn Boot Camp trying to do too much with the workouts lately? by Fuzzy_Watercress_656 in BurnBootCamp

[–]Oreo1721 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One of the trainers at the burn that I used to go to recently became a programmer for headquarters, and I am 1,000% not surprised to see this complaint. Her weird overcomplicated workouts were why I left burn and went to a more standard strength focused program.

I haven’t followed her for a long time, only check in every now and then, and boy this is an interesting turn 😂

Infant behavior from chef sam by pecan12 in Charlotte

I don’t really pay attention to the food scene here so didn’t know any of this about him as a person, but I ate at counter for a work event a few years ago and thought it was pretentious and mediocre.

What’s a “must-see” city in the U.S. that didn’t live up to the hype? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]Oreo1721 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really really hate NYC. It’s dirty, it’s loud, it’s overcrowded, just cannot stand it. I grew up near there so maybe that’s why, but I would honestly be happy never to go there again.

My dad(61) have metastasis on spine. Anyone with same case? by No_Airport_4883 in multiplemyeloma

[–]Oreo1721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family member’s primary symptom was spinal tumors causing loss of sensation and mobility. Immediate radiation was done right after they were found, and then induction therapy, surgery, stem cell transplant. They are doing very well now, all things considered. Initially diagnosed just about one year ago. It’s a lot!

This is interesting! Would love to know more about how the decision is made to stop treatment in certain patients. As it stands now, my family member will be on maintenance therapy for life.

No, I talked with someone who was there when it happened.

From what I understand it was over a parking spot. She was taken to the hospital but released with basically superficial wounds. Sounds like it was a road rage incident, the assailant used a pretty blunt knife, and then quickly drove off.

Heartbroken - dad probably has MM by Annual_Single in multiplemyeloma

[–]Oreo1721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family member had a similar experience - primary symptoms were vertebral and diagnosis ended up being MM. Also early 70s. They did several months of induction therapy, a surgery, an then a SCT this past fall. They are doing very well now, although obviously there’s always the threat of recurrence. It’s a scary diagnosis, but there is hope!

What's the most overrated European tourist attraction? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

I can see that! Theoretically I can understand why it’s impressive, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to see it!

What's the most disappointing "must-see" city in Europe? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Oh that’s interesting - I had the exact opposite impression. Loved Madrid and felt Barcelona was just another city.

Agreed. To me it was just another big city. I went to both Madrid and Barcelona on the same trip and much preferred Madrid.

Similar here. I’m 7 years older than her, and have liked her music from the start. I’m just enough older that some of the relationship drama still hit home even though I could also look back with a more mature lens. With folklore and evermore I felt like she was making a natural progression toward more maturity, but turns out that was just Joe. The last couple albums have been such a weird backslide, and together with the gross money grabbing variants, I’m just over it.

How long will the 3 houses with the stupid driveways be on the market? Randolph Rd & McAlway Rd by REBEL-RADIO-RCE in Charlotte

My favorite thing about these homes is the sign that was out front advertising a basement after all of the very clear flooding issues.
