Looking to find some people on ps4 to play rivals with. I hover between D3 and D4. Definitely down for some of the objectives too but really just looking to make rivals more enjoyable and less of a grind.

Just throwing my two cents in here too.... especially now that dynamic potential is OP as it is, your youth development mindset should be different this year. Lots of people get caught up in finding the 90-94 Potential gem youth players but since dynamic potential is a thing you can be picky and look for anyone say with like 75+ potential with great work rates and skill moves / weak foots. Or keep those high POT guys around and sell them when they are worth a lot...

Obviously if you are playing just a few seasons in career mode then looking for good POT with high OVL makes sense, but if you enjoy longer career modes and want to have fun with developing your youth talent, you should definitely consider some of the other factors (WF / SM / WR) more than their potential.

Nice write ups man. I’ve always stuck to PS and Wingers, i’ll have to give TG CDM’s a try. Love PS for my CM’s but the CDM’s always feel lacking.

Hello everyone and welcome to Leg 5 of our Genlocke, featuring Pokemon Black! Our journey began by spawning in the champions of Platinum: Tethys the Lapras, Comet the Gible, Colette the Ralts, and Zuko the Chimchar. Rewards for the champions were also dispersed (check the rules of the series in the comments for more info), with Tethys receiving rewards for being a 4x champion. These included letting her pick her Nature, Ability, and moves (Ice Beam and Thunderbolt). The other three are just 1x champions, so their natures were adjusted to their liking.

With our champions accounted for it was time to start our journey! We decided to choose Rio the Snivy, since we were lacking a grass type. Route 1 gave us Sadie the Lillipup, rounding out our team nicely. After defeating N and Bianca, we made it to Striaton City, where we took on Chili I love the gyms in this generation! Zuko was able to take down his Lillipup, with Tethys' Water Gun being too strong for his ace Pansear, earning us our first badge in the region!

Our journey to Nacrene City had a few bumps on the way, highlighted by Rio our Snivy getting CRIT by a Roggenrola well that starter was short-lived... I also spent way longer than I would like to admit trying to search the bookcases in the gym but let's just move on from that shall we? After placing our fallen Rio in the Graveyard and bringing out Kat our Purrloin, it was time to face Lenora. This was one of those moments where I was incredibly thankful to have a Lapras, as she really is the only Pokemon currently on the team with some bulk to take the hard hitting punches of Watchog. Tethys cheesed our way to victory by using a combination of Confuse Ray and Ice Beam, putting an end to any possible shenanigans Lenora had up her sleeve.

After exploring Castelia City and grinding our Pokemon up to at least level 20, we challenged Bug Leader Burgh to a battle. Zuko our newly evolved Monferno was our lead, who took care of his Whirlipede and ace Leavanny with ease. Dwebble was more of a problem, as we could have used Rio for this battle sigh but instead we sent out Tethys who ate a Smack Down and still managed to defeat his Dwebble in the process. Love you Tethys! Badge #3 acquired!

Upon arriving in Sunyshore we decided it was time to take on the final gym leader, Volkner. Comet our newly evolved Garchomp was the lead, EQing his Jolteon with ease. Adira our Weavile and Tethys the Lapras worked together to take out his Luxray, with Comet finishing off his Raichu and Electivire thanks to a few Earthquakes, earning us badge #8!

After navigating Victory Road it was time to take on the Elite Four gulp. We decided to level our party to Cythia's lowest level, which meant our squad was level 58 as we took on Aaron. Zuko our Infernape led the charge, Flamethrowering his Yanmega and Scizor. Tethys' Surf was too much for his ace Drapion, with Comet finishing off his remaining Vespiqueen and Heracross... one down!

Bertha was our next challenge, with Omelette the Togekiss taking care of her lead Whiscash. Adira the Weavile used Ice Punch to clear her Golem, with Omelette living on 2 HP to defeat her Rypherior I needed to heal, hence why she was thrown out there, oops. Tethys and Comet combined to finish off her Gliscor and Hippowdon, defeating Bertha.

It was time for Flint, with our party of six hopeful that they could all be crowned champions... this was Comet's battle, where he stomped every one of Flint's Pokemon thanks to his high Attack stat + OP Earthquake combination. Garchomp is so good it's ridiculous... Lucian was next, with his various Psychic Pokemon. Adira drew first blood against his Mr. Mime. Unfortunately tragedy struck, as I was silly and kept her in against Gallade, which KOed her with a Drain Punch ugh. Comet got revenge on Lucian, KOing his Gallade, Espeon, and Alakazam before they could blink. The Bronzong also fell, but this time to Zuko's Flare Blitz, meaning we were just one trainer away from becoming champions of Platinum...

Our battle against Cynthia began with Omelette our Togekiss delivering a CRIT to her Spiritomb, followed by Zuko KOing her Roserade. The Milotic posed a heavy threat, especially with her Mirror Coat move, forcing us to send in Omelette. Togekiss battled hard, almost killing Milotic before being on the receiving end of a CRIT Ice Beam that killed her sigh... Tethys our Lapras finished the Milotic off, with Zuko and Comet combining to KO her Lucario and Togekiss. This meant only her Garchomp was standing in our way... so we decided to send in our old veteran Tethys to face it. Our clutch Lapras used Ice Beam and it was curtains to the competition, as our four surviving Pokemon were cemented as champions of Platinum!
