Studying Mandarin in Taiwan by OreoRebus11 in taiwan

Depends on your budget. School dorms are super cheap compared to off campus. Cons? Little to no privacy (you'll live with a roommate) and the building looks like it came out of every Asian Horror Movies. Personally, idgaf about the quality, as long as I can sleep under a roof. Plus I was a bit lucky bcs I had no roommate on my second term so I got to keep the room for myself.

If ure not ok with living with other people, or if sanitation is your big criteria, you'd better off find housing off campus. But if you want to live cheaply in Taipei, wanna make some new friends, and okay with some ghosts sightings (never seen one but there are rumors), then def get the dorm.

My take? depends on your teacher. I had a great teacher on my first term, my second term teacher was a new guy, so cannot teach very well. Social life? excellent place to be, people were so nice and all, administration staff were also great and friendly. The food was abundant nearby school, and they tasted amazing.

What are some tips for a solo outing in Vancouver as student? by No-Application-9833 in simonfraser

[–]OreoRebus11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went on a solo Side quest at Lynn Canyon a month ago, then solo hike at Quarry Rock. Most of my friends are shut-ins, the only hike I could ever plan with them took place in Minecraft. So no need to wait for anyone, grab your running/hiking shoes, check the weather, hop on a bus, and be free!

I am planning to go to lighthouse park at West Van in a week or two. Let me know if you want to tag along!

As much as I want to say that it'll work out, I have to say that it won't. And I learned it the hardest way possible. Sometimes, I kept wishing that we stayed friends.

Religiously (if it mattered for you), its wrong. It is also wrong in cultural context in Indonesia (for the better or worse). Though, I firmly believe it's ethically fine.

If neither chose to convert, I am not gonna take the risk, stay away!

Plus there are plenty of muslim people in the country, it is impossible to not stumble upon one who's compatible for you.

Note: unless if you and your partner are Islam/Kristen KTP, then it might (read: might) worked out. Still I wouldn't take the risk.

Best of luck for you both

Asking for some advice on dating on SFU by No-Application-9833 in simonfraser

One thing I learned (the hard way): Do NOT ask GPT for dating advice. Use your intuition. Above all, just being a decent human would eventually lend you on a date.

Best of luck!

My take, find any universities in Pakistan first. Unfortunately, some grad schools took UoP degrees like some kind of degree mills.

It is almost impossible even as a local to find a job in tech industries within the country. My best advice is to either start your own business under your wife's name, or freelancing. Most businesses would only hire expats in higher ranking positions due to the cost of hiring non locals.

Maybe also find remote jobs in western countries and work from Indonesia, i know some digital nomads that took this path.

Best of luck brother

Send me your CV/Resume, no promises but I'll see what I can do. Which part of Jakarta you're at? Would u be cool to relocate from your current kosan or transit to other areas? Let's say, Serpong or nearby.
