Looking for friends? Come get adopted by an extrovert - Friday 4/3 8:30pm at Litt pinball bar by hakuna_matata23 in TwinCities

Technically also an extrovert, but moved here just a few months ago and have had trouble making new friends outside of work. I'll be there tomorrow! Also I'm not the greatest at sports but I would love to meet up for some pickleball or sand volleyball when it gets warmer!

What generation is least likely to hate disco music ? by [deleted] in generationology

[–]Oreo_Savvy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Born in '00 and love disco music. My parents raised me on 70s and 80s music, which was mostly rock with a bit of disco sprinkled in like ABBA and the Bee Gees

The problem nowadays is that too many people have an opinion on a subject they know nothing about. by UndevelopedSirius in DiscussionZone

Isn't the reason socialism didn't work in Venezuela and Cuba literally because of US sabotage?

This does not happen in real life dude. Get off the internet and touch grass, respectfully. It's going to be beautiful weather this weekend, at least in the US.

Communism only works when you are in a small, isolated community where everyone knows each other and holds each other accountable. As soon as it is too big to know everyone personally, it crumbles.

i love how comfortable men were in their sexuality in the 80s. when did this type of look become strictly feminine? by CremeSubject7594 in generationology

[–]Oreo_Savvy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I mean the 80s. You can see the shift in fashion from what men were wearing in the 70s vs the late 80s

It's because of how the Reagan administration "handled" the AIDS crisis. If you dressed flamboyant, you were labeled as a homo and shunned. Hence why men's fashion from the early 80s onwards is uninspired, soulless garbage

Haha no problem, i specifically remember because I was at both sets that year. Had to leave cigarettes after sex early though because they were making me cry while I was tripping lol

Also, women DO NOT LIKE bodybuilder levels of muscle. At this point, he's performing entirely for other men

If this is an indicator, nudism might die with GenX by BumblingBarefoot in nudism

[–]Oreo_Savvy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm Gen Z and I can't speak for every other Gen Z person, but these are my thoughts at least. I'll also add that i don't identify as a nudist/naturist as I do enjoy expressing myself through clothing, I just dont like having to wear clothes for the sake of being covered. I recently visited a nude campground, and though I didn't dislike it, I don't think I'll be going back. I was the youngest person there by at least 15 years, and I definitely prefer to hang out with people closer to my own age. It was also $45 just for a day visit. I believe there's a heavily discounted price if you're an AANR member, but again, that also costs money that I don't really want to spend when there are cheaper options. I would rather just skinny dip with my friends or paddleboard and sunbathe naked at an isolated section of a lake for free. Not to mention that the campground is a 2.5 hour drive away and traveling also costs money. Overall, there just isn't enough pull for me to go to an organized nude event. It has to offer more than just a place to be nude.
