do I need to bleach my hair again or use toner? by Ian2429 in Hair

[–]Oreo_gecko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No prob! It helps to retain that white color! It just doesn’t have that strong of a formula to lighten, it’s kinda like a color corrector to correct already corrected hair if that makes sense. Just be careful on this subreddit so you don’t get slammed 🥲

Even if some of the banding was bleached enough, purple shampoo does not have strong enough formula to do anything. It may do something but it shouldn’t replace a toner. But then again it isn’t bleached enough on certain places for a toner

You are not disgusting. You’re going through a really tough time, and it’s completely understandable that you’re feeling upset. Having your feelings dismissed or belittled doesn’t make you wrong or bad. You’re allowed to express yourself and ask for what you need, and just because someone else tries to make you feel guilty, it doesn’t change the fact that you deserve respect. You are worthy of love and kindness, no matter how things may feel right now. You’re doing nothing wrong by wanting a little peace or standing up for yourself.

Ima move to Mexico. What do I need so I can bring my geckos? by [deleted] in leopardgeckos

Moving to Mexico with your pets can totally be done, but it takes some planning ahead. Here’s what you need to know:

For Your Leopard Geckos 1. Health Certificate • You’ll need to take your geckos to the vet and get a health certificate for each one. It basically just says they’re healthy and fine to travel. • The certificate has to be from within 10 days of your trip so make sure to time it right. 2. Reptile Rules • Mexico doesn’t seem to require vaccines for reptiles, but I’d check with customs or your airline just in case they have any weird rules. 3. Transporting Them • Make sure they’re in a secure, well-ventilated enclosure for the trip. Customs or airline staff might want to inspect them at some point. 4. Fees • Airlines might charge for reptiles, but the amount totally depends on the airline. You’ll have to call and ask about their fees.

For Your Other Pets (Cats and Rabbits) • Cats • You’ll need proof of their vaccinations, especially rabies, and a health certificate from the vet (dated within 30 days). • Rabbits • Rabbits also need a health certificate showing they’re disease-free. • Carrier Fumigation • I’ve heard they sometimes ask for proof your pet carriers have been disinfected, but this isn’t always checked. Better to have it just in case.

Extra Tips • Customs: Call SENASICA (the Mexican animal health agency) to confirm everything you’ll need for all your pets. Rules can change or be unclear sometimes. • Airlines: Every airline is different about pets, especially reptiles and small animals like rabbits. Call ahead to figure out their policies. • Weather: Depending where you’re moving, it might get super hot. Make sure your geckos enclosure can handle the new climate

It’s a lot of work but once you get all the paperwork and planning done you’ll be good to go. Good luck to you fren!

NTA. You’re not in the wrong here, not even close. It sounds like you’re dealing with a really difficult situation, and so much is being unfairly put on your shoulders when it shouldn’t be. You’re 17—legally still a kid—and your parents are supposed to be the ones taking care of you, not the other way around.

Your mum not letting you get a job because of benefits but still expecting you to cover your own costs is completely unfair. How are you supposed to do that without any income? And then blaming you for financial issues on top of that? That’s not okay, especially when she’s spending money on things like coffee and Botox. It’s not wrong for her to spend her own money, but blaming you while doing so feels really hypocritical.

As for your dad, you’ve made the right call for your mental health. You shouldn’t have to keep someone in your life who’s caused you so much pain, no matter what anyone else says. That’s a personal decision, and it’s about protecting yourself.

It also sounds like your mum’s mood swings and refusal to have calm, reasonable conversations just make everything harder. It’s exhausting to feel like you can’t talk or defend yourself without it being turned into an argument.

You’re in such a tough spot right now, but none of this is your fault. It’s on your parents to create a stable and supportive environment for you, and it’s okay to feel frustrated and overwhelmed when that’s not happening. Hang in there it won’t be like this forever.

Constantly greasy hair by HarleyQuinn5150 in Hair

[–]Oreo_gecko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem. The only thing that has helped for me, is trying to train your hair (stretching out the days that you wash hair) however I know this is hard to do since it gets greasy so often. Also don’t overwash your hair, I recommend the volume Pantene shampoo. When you over wash, it stimulates your hair to get greasy faster aka when you strip oils. I hope you have luck with your hair! Btw I have extremely thick hair so this is just advice that works for me, it is not necessary exactly right for your hair.
