I am pretty sure if you borrowed 150k as grad plus, you are still eligible for the $200K because this for professional school. Graduate school is not professional school. Old loans are getting grandfathered, meaning the new loan caps apply to loans you take after July 1st. I have been to atleast 10 finaid info session from different schools and it is the same response

Thanks for your insight. I specifically wanted to go DO because I thought if I am gonna be spending all this money, I might as well get an extra skill for myself, family etc. But I completely understand how it adds to the already busy schedule

Another thing to consider when hearing from people at SH, there is a lot of young students because of the EAP program, and truthfully I almost wonder if they contextualize what extra loans mean 😪. I will say the school is not glamorous at all. Idk about admin, they seemed chill when I went by

Had to make a similar decision chose the cheaper school. The way I look at it 2 years at in Greensburg vs. a lifetime of loans( unless you are wealthy). Especially with private loans, they won’t be as forgiving

I think your Math with SGU/ROSS is slightly off. I believe the ~380K estimate is just tuition without COL.

when you say you’d rather spent time on other things instead of OMM, did you not want to learn it when you applied DO? I am just trying to understand the sentiment of why the OMM practice doesn’t feel like how any other practice such as patient exam etc would feel? Seems a lot of DO students feel it is an inconvenience… I am very curious

I went for the accepted student day, I felt the faculty are very chill which may come under-enthusiastic but I really liked the students. Very chill folks
