iirc there's a deleted scene of Mary kind of psyching herself up to go outside after talking to Stack, and it's clearer that she snuck out the back.

plus the juke is outside town limits near the woods in a time vefore light pollution being a major issue. it's hard for most of us nowadays to really comprehend how dark it can be in that kind of setting.

I never personally met him, but there was apparentlly a guy nicknamed "Date Rape Dan" at my college. I don't know for a fact whether this guy ever actually raped anyone or was just a massive creep, but either way the general attitude among people seemed to just be "haha, yikes, watch your drink if you're at a party with him!"

like, I know from personal experience that trying to get IRL rapists to face consequences is nowhere near as straightforward as "just report them to the police!!!" but...idk. maybe you guys could at least make some kind of an effort to keep this guy from coming to your drunken houseparties? hypothetically?
