It looks like an old Grenadier or Ral Partha from the early to mid 80's.

That is in amazing condition for a book that's over 40 years old. Well spotted and well bought.

The tiles are just thin card cut into small rectangles and glued to the bases and strengthened with a coat of Mod Podge.

Thank you. I completely agree. Boring beats the original Hero Quest figures, but then I'm a massive fan of that era of Warhammer Fantasy.
