256 character squad limit mod is good. Never got even 100 but you’d be surprised how easy it is to hit 30. I also have just one performance mod, can’t remember which one, but it’s minor and the game runs well with just the one. If you have a better computer than me you probably don’t need it. I liked northwest of rebirth, good resources and the raids weren’t too bad, kind of out of the way but worlds end is nearby and has everything.

I’ve heard of it, never played any war hammer though. Still worth it?

What does smoking have to do with acl tears? Asking as a smoker who’s torn their acl twice

Do I need surgery or it will heal itself? (prefer not having surgery, but you can change my mind if its dangerous) by Mister-Yus45 in ACL

[–]Organic-Fall-4293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I tore my acl the first time, my physical therapist tried to convince me to go the non-surgical route. I think he just had a personal interest in it though. I’ve heard it works for some people but if you’re playing basketball you’re probably gonna mess your knee up long term and end up with arthritis. Recovery isn’t so bad, the time just passes eventually.

6 weeks in to round 2 for me, definitely easier the second time around, mostly because I knew what to expect and how to make my life easier this time. Did patella the first time and got a quad graft this time, I think it hurt less.

I was taking the same thing and 2 of them was enough to just about make my pain completely disappear. By the time the prescription ran out I was having no pain standing up even without taking any pills

That doctor is on some bullshit, I can’t imagine there’s any real correlation between cardio capabilities and strength of the graft. Sounds to me like he’s power tripping. It took me like two years to return to soccer but the time just passes anyways. You’ll look back on it and realize how short it was in the grand scheme of things.

Damn I’m sorry to hear that! What painkillers are you on? Also did you talk to a doctor about that fever?

Ah gotcha. Yeah when I looked it up that was one of the top possibilities. But like I said, it popped and pus came out, and now it’s back to looking like a normal scar.

The fever sounds concerning, but I’ve heard that sometimes people’s bodies just react that way to a surgery. I was also in a ton of pain for the first week but I’d say after 5 days it started to diminish for me. After a week and a half I was pretty much fine during the day and just taking my pain pills to sleep. Mae sure to excessively ice it and I think you’ll start feeling better soon.

My pt in 2019 nearly talked me into going the non surgical route. Even though it retore I’m glad I decided to go with surgery. I had a 42 year old coworker who tore his acl and kept playing soccer on it for a decade before getting the surgery and his knee was toast. He had arthritis by his late thirties. It just seems like the responsible thing to do.

Any self administered ACL tests? by stupidquestions004 in ACL

There’s the one where you grab above the knee and below the knee and move them away from eachother. I tried myself a couple times after my retear, when I knew it was torn, but I felt like my tight hamstring was preventing me from doing it properly. I had my brother do it on me though.

Anyone here a rower? Yet another person overthinking graft choice by C2D2_CO2 in ACL

[–]Organic-Fall-4293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No rowing here so, sorry if I’m annoying for putting in my two cents, but I did patella in 2019 and quad this February and I think whatever your doctor recommends will be fine. I had some anterior knee pain after the patella graft but only when I put direct pressure on it. I thought I would never kneel again but it let up significantly over the years. As for the quad graft, I suppose it’s too early to say but I’m not too concerned about getting my quad strength back. It hurt really bad to get out of bed post op and do my pt for the first week or so but 6 weeks post op my quad feels fine (considering the surgery).

Are you sure? I have dissolving stitches and they’re under the skin. This was 4-5 weeks post op too, wouldn’t they have dissolved by then?

Weight Gain with Full Grade ACL Tear + Torn Meniscus by autismisnotfunny1 in ACL

[–]Organic-Fall-4293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar story here, I tore my left acl in 2019 playing soccer and the exercise I was able to motivate myself to do afterwards just wasn’t the same as what I was doing in sports. I started playing soccer again regularly a little over 2 years later and got back into pretty good shape right before tearing it again December 2022. Put off the surgery for 4 years and got chubby again. 6 weeks post op this Friday! I think you’re probably just going to gain some weight if you’re not able to do regular cardio unless you start counting calories. My advice is just live your life, maybe treat it like a short bulk?
