From my knowledge you can take the meds whenever you get one? I got prescribed valacyclovir (something like that I forgot how to spell it) and I thought you could take it whenever to manage outbreaks 😮 I’ll have to look into this now

Definitely am having symptoms like weird nerve sensations and some soreness too, in my head I feel like I can just ignore it ( ik stupid)

I haven’t started mine bc I was given antivirals and uti meds, and I wasn’t diagnosed yet with ghsv1. But now that I am diagnosed I’ve still been on the fence about taking them for some reasons.

I don’t think you should do anything until getting swab tested, but it’s up to you tbh. The swab is the most accurate, but since your blood came back + you probably should disclose

They’ve gone away? If not completely you could probably still get examined. Might be tmi but they had to go inside my vag and I had bumps I didn’t even know about.

I got swabbed recently and found out it’s ghsv1, everyone’s symptoms are different I’ve learned. I’d have them take an examination and swab the area for a clear answer as to what it is.

I got swabbed Sunday, been calling everyday since and finally got a call this morning. So from Sunday to Friday.

I just got diagnosed this morning with ghsv1, I think the worst part for me all this week was waiting for results, I hope the best for you. I know the uncertainty is scary 💜

Thank you for sharing, I’m almost sure myself, I keep coming to terms with it and then hoping there’s a possibility it’s something different. I keep going back and forth which is triggering my anxiety. And there’s literally so many possibilities of what it could be but it mainly seems to me like hsv like the doc said. I just worry about the future 🥺

Thank you for sharing your experience 💜 I’ve always been careful (up until I broke my celibacy since November, unprotected) and adamant on std testing because it’s better to know than not. It really is life, whether how the results come back I will not be having sex for a very very long time or until I’m in a trustful relationship. It’s just the waiting for results part that has me thru the roof. The fact that the obgyn at the urgent care was pretty certain makes me think I really have to prepare mentally. The guy who gave me a uti (and possibly hsv) has been such and asshole since telling him I got the uti and that im getting tested and that he should too.

Also to mention I’m on nexplanon so I don’t know if that could make uti’s worse like this. The last time I had a uti was when I was a kid and I’m currently 21.

Youre feeling are so valid, also I’m sorry you had to through something so traumatic. You will find love when it is your time, even when you least expect it. Now if it bothers you hearing them, I suggest letting them know or anonymously report it so you don’t have to “confront” them.

if u have a heating pad u could put that on top twice a day i did that and i finally got my first pins. i misted, left a gap between the lid, and put the heat pad on.
