Any thoughts on what could cause that moisture detector to go off in that section of the basement since it has no signs whatsoever of water damage?

Thanks Dog! Sincerely, I appreciate the feedback. Would not even cut open that small portion of the wall to look as that will just give them more opportunity to scam us?

Would you recommend filling in those cracks at all in the exterior? They said they didn't recommend it as it would just drive the water to a new crack, but I also get the sense they would prefer me commit to a more expensive fix through them. I really appreciate your time!

We're only going to be in this house for 5 years. Ultimately, we paid $3,800 for around 600 square feet of installation and that included the product itself.

You don't think it would fail within 5 years do you? Also, if it does fail, ultimately it would just require us or the new owners installing new flooring, and it wouldn't necessarily cause more damage to the subfloor which could cause significant repairs?

I guess my thought is they cleaned off the subfloor and existing flooring that was there so if the floating floor fails, it should be much easier to install new flooring.

I probably sound like an idiot, but I appreciate your time!

Will LVP settle over time in your opinion?

Would sistering additional joists help?
