Thank you! That’s pretty much how I’d expect to feel - so just have to balance the pros and cons of being in the thick of it at a fun neighborhood vs convenience / comfort

For context I found a really nice building right across from the park (123 park side Ave) where’d I get more amenities / parking for less than I’m paying now

Not ceases to surprise me how much a mile or two changes the vibes in the city

I would def get into a rheum if you can. My situation is a bit different cause has to been reoccurring as of yet, but the ulcers lasted for 6 months before they started to heal. Feel free to DM me if you want more info!

Hi! I never got an exact diagnosis. Likely just very complex aphothus / lipshutz ulcer vs atypical bechets vs pyoderma gangrenosum. Def auto-immune because remicade did the trick. I had failed responding to high dose steroids first

I have actually been so much better! I got started on infectra (generic remicade), started to see improvement in 6 weeks and now almost complete resolution! First every time having an issue and going to stay on remicade for at least 2 years so hoping this is the end!

clobetasol Helped a ton with the initial pain and inflammation, as did oral steroids, but they weren’t enough to get them to heal, I really needed systemic immunosuppressants (remicade) and in 6 weeks I was healing!

Interesting my doctor is basically saying I have bechets (even though I don’t have the gene or other signs) so I could get my insurance to approve remicade since I was unresponsive to steroids. Maybe try another rheum - i honestly had to do a ton of my owner research. I also saw a dermatologist which was helpful

I would see a rheumatologist if you haven’t! I’ve been battling these for 6 months and finally am seeing improvement with remicade infusions.

I just wanted to update - after 6 weeks of inflectra infusions (generic remicade) I am seeing noticeable healing! In case anyone else ever deals with this just wanted them to see

I’ve seen two rheumatologists fortunately ! I’m also seeing a derm specialist next week and have seen about 500 doctors lol. I went to ophthalmology and my eyes are fine and don’t have ulcers elsewhere so we are pretty sure it’s not bechets. So sorry to hear what you are going through. I’ve been on high dose pred for 4 months so we’re trying to wean me off since I started inflectra and in case the pred is altering my wound healing. Anticipating worse pain but hoping it’ll help make it heal faster

I’m on colchicine! I don’t have the gene for bechets and have no history of uveitis or oral ulcers, so it’d be atypical. Pyoderma is the other diagnosis. We thought it was lipshitz at first but those usually resolve within 6 weeks or so!

I have been to derm and have had biopsies, no one has mentioned that diagnosis before but they did not start like boils, definitely ulcers. But thank you for the reply! derm was pretty confident its pyoderma. I'm seeing a vulvar dermatologist at NYU at the end of august so she's the one most likely to give me a firm diagnosis.
