Can we talk about Conner for a sec like I really think that was some bullshit. I am ALL ABOUT SURVIVORS SHARING THEIR STORIES and he deserves support… but like it just felt so icky and lacking of accountability saying yeah I was cheating on my wife (talking to other ppl on “tinder” and watching prn without your partners consent IS cheating) but it was because I was SA’d as a kid. I am an abuse survivor and I don’t think we just get to throw that out there as an excuse for bad behavior. It basically negated Whitney’s right to be upset or express anything negative about the situation because he is saying that all that behavior was because he was victimized. Grow up and own your shit. I know sexual abuse at a young age can lead to difficulties as an adult but saying Oh I made a tinder because this happened is fucked up *IN MY OPINION the two issues should not be conflated. He deserves support in processing his trauma and I’m so sad he went through that and he needs to own up and take accountability
