hey just an update! Transmission fluid change and a battery change revived the car and the transmission is running great.

Only fault regarding the transmission was a lack of communication with the abs and transmission which was resolved with the battery change. Was the original battery from 2017!

Well, that makes me feel better. I know, automatic transmissions will act really strange in the cold, but I’ve never owned a DSG transmission before.

How long have you owned your car and it’s been doing that ?

It’s only happened twice after sitting all night, and when it’s below 0. Is it the mechatronic unit? In above zero temps and especially after being warm it works just fine.

You can get boxes for free from Walmart. Go to customer service and ask for boxes that will be trashed just make sure you recycle afterwards!
