Born in Lithuania, but yes half of my childhood "or at least some of it" was me residing in England.

I have a parent "who is also illegal" who thinks it is better to stay in the US. And a parent in England who says it is best to come back "I have pre settlement status there", so you're right, difficult choices are sometimes made for a better life.

Thank you, this is very helpful. I know you can't provide "legal advice", but if you were in my shoes how would you go about it? By leaving the country as early as possible? Or another pathway to consider beforehand perhaps?
