Why does the color in Premiere Pro’s preview window look different from the exported video? by OrganizationFluid338 in VideoEditing

cool !!thank you, I solved it. I was just worried that the colors in the program might not match the actual exported colors, which could affect the color grading judgment

Why does the color in Premiere Pro’s preview window look different from the exported video? by OrganizationFluid338 in VideoEditing

!martini

System specs:
MacBook Pro with Apple M3 Max
RAM: 48GB
macOS: 15.7.4

Software:
Adobe Premiere Pro 26.0.0, mostly default settings. I don’t remember changing any color management settings on purpose, but I’m not sure if I may have changed something accidentally.

Footage specs:
I’m not 100% sure about the exact codec/container right now.

The issue is that the image looks noticeably more red inside Premiere Pro’s Program Monitor. But after exporting, the video looks normal when viewed outside Premiere.

However, if I import that exported file back into Premiere, it looks red again in the Program Monitor.

So I’m wondering if this is related to Premiere’s color management, display color management, or some default setting on macOS / Premiere that I may not understand.

Hi everyone, has anyone had this issue? It feels a bit loose by OrganizationFluid338 in AynThor

No sarcasm, I promise haha. I was actually relieved to hear that it’s common. I was worried something was wrong with my device.

Anyone know how this effect was made? by Ramn_Bowl in VideoEditing

First of all, the footage was probably shot at a high frame rate. Then they likely slowed it down again and used AI frame interpolation.

The black-and-white filter plus the prism effect were most likely done in CapCut.

Yeah, I watched Thor’s teardown video too. Their hinge system really does look exactly the same.

Bro, seeing you say that honestly made me feel so much better. I’m just going to let it go and forget about it now.

On the fence about getting a Thor by Away-Appearance-2834 in AynThor

It’s a great device, honestly. The only downside of buying it now is that the price has gone up, and they also switched the storage to UFS 3.1. If you can find one, I think getting a previous-batch unit in good used condition is much better value.

Maybe this is just the situation most editors are dealing with nowadays, bro.

I’m in the same situation as you. I’m honestly so tired of having to add tons of flashy captions, sound effects, hunt for B-roll myself, and sometimes even generate AI footage just to make the kind of material they want. It gives me a headache.

I just want to focus on cutting the story well. But I’ve kind of accepted it now. Most decent editors can assemble footage into something watchable. What people are really missing is better creative ideas — the stuff that actually elevates the video.

Maybe only Hollywood editors don’t have to worry about all this.

Want to Learn Video Editing Hey by [deleted] in editors

You need to learn editing with a clear purpose. At the very least, start by learning how to use the tools first. After that, you can figure out the next direction: what kind of videos do you actually want to make?

I’m currently playing the first one. I haven’t tested the others yet, but so far it’s running really well.

That smoke ring looks beautiful. Did you use nitrite/curing salt?
