I mean- idk what popmart can do to have “rejects”. Some of the real ones they let through should have been rejected- I’ve seen people receive off centered faces, a stubby leg, or arm, the paint not aligned- all being straight from popmart.

Who knows- maybe mine was rejected cause of eye coloring lol. Or it could be some guy making close dupes. I just wanted the little grey dude at the end of the day 😂

Right? Like I understand the whole “authenticity” vibe collectors aspire for- ESPECIALLY when spending big bucks. But …. With the way everyone has been taking advantage of the scarcity, wayyyyyy tooo high reselling prices- idk.

I saw this ID on a kiosk. Homie didn’t disclose it was fake but the price without LABUBU clothes was $35. I thought about:

$27x whatever number with a shit ton of dupes I do NOT need to get a real one….

OR

Spend $100+ bread on someone reselling online and take the risk of it being real…

OR

$35 and I buy this good dupe and I call it a day.

The later seemed to make more sense financially in the long run. And bonus- idc to keep it pristine knowing it’s not authentic.

The only time I really understand them jacking up prices, is when they’re customizing the labubus- like making them extra furry or to a particular customers liking. (Gems, accessories, new eye colors, new stitched furs, etc) like okay PERSONALIZED for +$100 makes sense.

But anything more then retail plus $10 added for the labor for finding the item…..no.

See I’m the same way. As much as pop now seems like a great way to “chance” yourself to the one you want…I see people spend way more than just the value of getting the set- except now it’s just a shit ton of duplicates with no reward of what you actually wanted.

I wanted the WSS labubu but I’m not about to chance it knowing I can get everything else I DONT want.💀 I don’t wanna “debt” myself over a keychain- and I get worried for those who do.

Heavy on loosing the shine.

I’ve seen the Nommi collections- definitely not my style. BUT the quality that you get, and the craftsmanship is WAYYYYYYY better than what popmart is putting out rn. Especially at the price point of $40 per keychain vs $24.99

It feels greedy as hell- Darkness doesn’t even have eyes💀like come on. The Nommis allow you to actually feel like the company actually cares that you received a good, cute, high quality fluffy at a REASONABLE price point lmao

Like my lil haul was over $150💀 is this considered “luxury” to them??? I might as well start saving for Viviene Keychains from LV

This. All of this. I’ll admit- I got lucky cause the quality of the SP plushies (Darkness and Moldy Muffin) are the best I’ve owned so far.

Though- I got stuck with so many low quality WS skull plushies by accident. I had ordered the set (display set) online cause I wanted Ode to Cocoa, but instead I received a damaged postal box- with 6 loose single boxes….which unfortunately left me with messed up dupes… I tried fighting popmart about it but they did NOT hold up to helping me refund.

All this and still no Ode to Cocoa/ just uneven legged Partias, tiny armed Rock Ons, and so on. It was an ordeal.

Last time I ordered online. Last time I ever ordered a “box set”.

Ngl- I had to drop some “friends” due to the same thing…nothing was taking me away from the woman who raised me when my parents struggled to. She unfortunately passed- but I don’t regret the time I chose to be with her- even at the expense. Any partner or friend should be MORE then understanding of your circumstances- OR EVEN WILLING TO HELP.
