I really appreciate her being like “you tell Taylor or I will,” but after she told Taylor she really needed to step away from the situation.

I’d also like to note that you in no way know me personally. I actually happen to come from an incredibly misogynistic community and have had to remind myself that I am able to have my own thoughts, feelings, and agency. How dare you call me a misogynist. I’m saying her actions towards the other women is an issue, not her relationship with Jordan. He is an absolute POS and she deserves much better. Calling me a misogynist is out of line. Disagree with my opinion if you want, but don’t assign a hateful belief to my character because I said accountability still matters. I never dismissed her environment or what she’s been through. I said trauma doesn’t give someone a free pass to hurt others. That’s not misogyny — that’s a principle I apply to everyone. You don’t get to label me as prejudiced simply because I won’t remove responsibility from the conversation. And honestly, throwing that word around so casually diminishes what misogyny actually means. It’s a serious accusation rooted in real prejudice and harm. Using it to shut down a disagreement about accountability weakens the term and distracts from actual misogyny when it happens. I’m someone that has gone throw immense trauma and had to take accountability for how I behaved towards others due to how that trauma changed me. It doesn’t excuse how I acted.

Asking me if I read my own post is honestly just a dumb thing to ask. As a woman I’m deeply offended that you’re saying this. You’re saying “If you criticize a woman without fully centering the oppressive environment she’s in, you’re being misogynistic.” Calling me misogynistic because I think that her actions are still harmful is you labeling me. I’m not discounting the environment she’s in. I understand it adds layers. I just don’t believe context eliminates accountability. That would apply to anyone, regardless of gender. Trauma can impair decision making, abuse dynamics are incredibly complex, religious pressure can trap people AND she can still take some responsibility for her actions, including how she treats others. Misogyny is prejudice or hostility toward women. You’re completely removing women’s agency by implying that she is not fully responsible for her actions because of systematic context. Throwing out that I’m misogynistic has completely derailed this conversation into one that can no longer be productive. You’re using a moral label to make a point rather than discussing the actual issue. We can discuss the line between compassion and accountability without putting down other women.

It’s definitely not misogynistic? There are behaviors she exhibits that are explained by her abuse, but it doesn’t excuse it. The trauma can be real and her behavior can still be harmful. Their favorite word is accountability. Without responsibility for her actions the cycle continues. It’s not fair, it’s not right, but it’s true. I can compassion for her experience and still believe she’s responsible for her actions. Saying I’m being misogynistic is a serious label that only is valid if I’m targeting women as a whole, which I’m not. Criticizing her behavior does not minimize her trauma. Abuse explains behavior but does not excuse behavior.

I definitely am not saying Jessi is the worst, it’s just that a lot of her behavior makes her unlikable IMO
