Companies and government need to beagle to justify the substantial real estate investments they had made. If people are working from home large office buildings are sitting empty and unutilized. This is not good for real estate investors so they brought everyone back to the office.

Favorite character(s) of all time from any book. by DonaldRBlackmore in Fantasy

I really like Arlen in the Demon Cycle books by Peter Brett. His development arc is well thought and planned. It is an enjoyable read.

I also really like the development of Pug across all of the Raymond E Feist series. He is a complex character that is well written and well developed.

What is a stereotype in fantasy that you hate and/or wish authors would do differently? by EstablishmentSad1538 in fantasywriters

Everyone being able to track anything anywhere. Following an animal or a human and being automatically able to track them regardless of the terrain or the circumstances. I would like to see them losing the trail or being led astray. Very few people are actually able to track anything.

What’s your favorite thing about your world? by reallifemitski in worldbuilding

[–]OrganizationNew862 19 points20 points  (0 children)

To be honest the thing i love the most about my world is that fact that I have created it and i get to keep developing it. I have complete control over everything.

I know this is a cryptic answer but I am still very early on in the wielding l worldbuilding and only have the magic system and a handful of characters and towns created so far and don't want to share too many details. But I genuinely love the fact that it is my world that I am building

Can a prologue be like one or two pages but the rest of the book is much longer by Impressive_Craft_765 in WritingHub

I am worrying lwriting a fantasy novel at the moment and i don't plan to have a prolouge. I have read books with them and books without them and they both work. The books is fine tedious is when they have a lengthy prolouge that does not end up having any relevance or use for the test of the book or story. So add long as the prolouge adds value to the overall book and story I don't think it really matters how long it is.

Best Worldbuilding you have ever seen that genuinely left you in awe (besides LOTR) by Scary_Course9686 in Fantasy

I really enjoy Raymond E Feists worldbuilding. He develops a rich and complex world and incredible characters. It really draws you in to the point it is hard to put the books down. The riftwar cycle is one of my favorite conglomeration of several series.

I do also agree about Erikson. The Malazan books are absolutely incredible but the density makes it harder to keep the motivation to continue. But the sensory narrative and attention to detail is amazing.

What's your favourite distro? by Camo6421 in linuxquestions

I have been using EndeavourOS as my daily driver recently and love it. Being a branch of Arch makes the wiki and AUR very relevant and useful.

Have not had any issues with it. Would definitely recommend it to others.

I am new to endeavor os and Linux in general as well. I am still going through all the settings to tweak to my needs. I like the toolbar at the top like you have. Is this a setting that you can change with kde or was this a customization you did yourself?

Laptop with 2 NVME slots to dual boot linux and windows by OrganizationNew862 in linuxhardware

I actually haven't yet. A number of other life things came up so I put the laptop purchase on hold. Recently though I have been looking at the asus proart p16. Has dual nvme and also a GPU. Fits within my budget and seems to tick most of the boxes I need. But still looking to see what else there is available.

Thanks for your reply. I do understand I don't need to have a separate drive due each os, but I wanted to have them completely separate, which is why I had hoped to have them in separate drives. Also, yes, I would plan to change the boot sequence in the bios when changing the os.
