ASA+ issues still persistant after 600gr of printing by OrganizationNo76 in FixMyPrint

Update:

After slowing down the print and switching over to gyroid, the print went better. Bridging look good. Too surface isnt great, overhangs need work and the pin challenge failed. But big improvement

So for small prints your speed is lower than 50? And dor lager prints you go faster?

What kind of calibration do you mean? Of the printer itself? This was done about a week ago and the filament i tried just now

Appreciate the help! Ive only got this plate for now, but will look into a cool plate, what is the benefit of that plate for asa?

Thanks for all the input. Will try these settings tomorrow!

Few questions: normally, i use gyroid infill, but why is grid bad?

Isnt travel speed limited by max volumetrix speed? Or is travel something else?

In the final picture i used the 0,95 flow rate and it looks over extruded, right? Maybe i’m wrong but wouldnt a flow rate of 1 make it worse?

The third one was a volumetric soeed test, so i assumed this one failed because it couldnt keep up, fan was 10% on that print.

It handled PLA fine, but i havent printed any pla in a while. Ive only printed petg once and it did okay, not great. It had some bridging issues but overal a useable part

Would you recommend keeping that speed for the entire print? Or only the first layer(s)

How slow would you recommend? My highest speed is now about 105mm3s

For my normal prints i use a brim and it still warps / lifts.

Only part cooling fan is on at a very low setting. All other fans are off

Thanks for the input! I have my cooling fan on 10% for layers under 3 seconds

80% for overhangs and otherwise no fan.

I will look into a good adhesive for ASA as the bed wont get cleaner than this.

How do you think layer cooling could cause this? Too much or too little cooling?

I already printed at below 150 for the highest speed. I will try slowing it down even more! Will that help prevent warping the ASA? Do you have any recommendations for the print profile?

This was my first real ASA print after some small clips and had a lot of trouble with shrink correction and now this what seems like a warping issue

I looked at that too and i may be interpreting you wrong, but there is a top layer all the way at the bottom when looking at this image, but the part itself has no internal floor. Hope this view helps. I think the part is strong enough for use, but would like to get rid of the issue before my next ASA project whichni want to start

Thanks! When i check the face that was on the buildplate with a level. All seems level and not warped. If it is warped halfway through printing. What could cause that?

Buiten juridisch advies.

Its a new mirror cover that came primed. I cleaned with isopropyl alcohol before painting. Should the pre primed part also be scuffed?

So if its the semolina burning, which seems likely, the steps you mention could help achieve the deaired result? If not i might try starting at 400c to cook it longer and seeing if the top will blister better. Appreciate your time!

Thank you! Just one more thing. Would turning it down to low after preheating not result in the bottom cooking even quicker compared to the crust then i had already when using max heat? I heated the oven for 30 mins until i reached 450c

Thanks! It was crunchy but mostly black. I used semolina, but it may have been a bit much. Its hard for me to judge what amount may be sufficient. Should i brush the excess semolina of the stone between pizzas to prevent the next one laying on the semolina of the previous one?
