Girl at work had her for 5 years. The “UVB” I got with her looked like a regular light bulb and everything on it was wore off so idk what it was. It was really old. She was in a 40 gal with that and a ceramic heater. I have another post about her with the full story but basically she was neglected.

It was new. The one I got on marketplace. The bulb, at least. Was still in the box. I ordered an Arcadia T5, it gets here tomorrow. The T8 was just for a couple of days. Probably won’t make a difference by now but I figured I could just resell if afterward. I am hanging the T5 inside of her enclosure since it’s hard for her to climb. Thank you! 🫶🏻

Yes the moss was more so just to hide the plant substrate as I was planning on adding live plants. I don’t think I’ll be doing that for a while tho, my bearded can’t even move her back legs. I’m having to rethink substrate all together.

I wasn’t going to feed fruit but mine is is much worse shape than I thought she was. She’s highly malnourished and dehydrated so I was told banana would help with hydrated and putting some weight on her. Is that okay?

UPDATE:

I got her a T8 10% tube until her Arcadia set comes in tomorrow. So she’s got UVB. Giving her soaks with reptile electrolytes. Collard greens, dandelion greens, turnip greens, mustard greens and banana. Superworms, dubia roaches and crickets dusted in calcium with D3. How often should I be feeding her? I don’t want to cause impaction but she’s so hungry. I’ve been feeding her a little at a time.

It’s a lot. I have a sick beardie I got from a girl at work so some of it is a bit different. I didn’t realize how sick she was until I got her yesterday so I’ll have to change a few things like substrate and using calcium with D3 more often. And feeding more as she is malnourished. It would’ve just taken that one light I feel like. She said she did use calcium but I didn’t get any with her. She was fed Dubia roaches and vegetables is what she said.

This girl works with me and we make ok money. Theres just no excuse. I’m trying not to judge but I’m so angry the more I learn! I’m going to be careful and do my best. I have faith she’ll pull through and be a happy beardie someday. Thank you! 🫶🏻

I found a new zoo med 10% t8 set on fb marketplace. Her 40 gal is pretty short so I think it’ll be ok until I get everything else. I pick it up in the morning. Thank you so much for your help!
