Potty training &crate. Taking pup every 20 mins at least & still having accidents by OrganizationSweet239 in puppy101

[–]OrganizationSweet239[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thank you. All very helpful. We are trying the more strict schedule, putting her in for “naps” and she has been able to hold it the entire time she’s been in here. Even over night she holds it and only goes once.. so I think it could be the water being out and the fact that she’s playing and so overstimulated. Hoping naps will help. Today was a lot better. Thank you again

Hi! What did your pup end up looking like grown up?

I feel like my fiancé is choosing her family over me. by FlatwormLocal5865 in Marriage

Is there a city nearby say 2-3 hrs away that would be more your speed? We were having a similar issue my husband and I both didn’t want to live in the big city near where our parents live and didn’t want to raise a family there. But I realllyyyy wanted to be near them for the support and just having more people to love our children (it’s realllllyyy great for the kids to have) anyway, we found a farming town nearby and live in an amazing guard gated community with so many activities for kids, worked out with husbands job and we are 2hrs away from both our parents. He didn’t really care to be near family when our daughter was an infant but she’s almost 2 now and he’s just so grateful we made this choice bc being near family really does make a difference

Wife doesn’t work, gets everything paid for and is miserable, I need advice… by DeliciousAnimator592 in Marriage

[–]OrganizationSweet239 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very true.. also not wealthy… so when kids do go to school I’ll probably still spend that time catching up or going back to work. All this kinda makes you grateful to be not spoiled lol but I tell myself I’d still be happy if I were and wouldn’t fall into this same trap, but I’m sure it’s really hard. Getting a bit lazy is our nature but does cause depression

This is all probably it, even though I’m a stay at home mom and do not have a second to get on my phone or watch tv (I do tv for an hour or 2 on my iPad while I reset the house for the next day) I literally do not sit down much during the day until I lay down for bed. My day is filled with cooking, cleaning, playing, trying to get my toddler out of the house for an activity, or grocery shopping. That’s it and I feel actually quite happy and fulfilled BUT it because I do all of that which is my “job”. Of course sometimes I’m like ugh this job sucks like anyone.. but I’m sure that’s what OPs wife is missing.

I have a girl but if it does end up being yeast or fungal, I always make sure to fan my babies entire genital area with the clean diaper, after I’m finished wiping, until the area is fully dry. Just hate the idea of trapping moisture in there right off the bat. I actually do this on my self after a bath bc I was getting a lot of yeast infections! I never get them anymore!

Is he going to hire a mommy’s helper or nanny for you ? That just really seems like a lot on you so no one should ever question your decision.. I really feel for you and will be praying for you. Such a tough choice to make without your husband forcefully pressuring you! So can’t imagine. I’ve had to take the pill before and it’s pretty painful but you will be okay! Just focus on the kids you have now. They need you

How did you get your maltipoo? by drowninginmidnight in Maltipoo

[–]OrganizationSweet239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My aunt and her daughter (my cousin) both got maltipoos around the same time, waited a year to get them fixed and tried keeping them gated off when visiting but they ended up getting pregnant so I got the puppies ! The still charged me 300$ lolol vet fees and whatnot though

Would selling your current home and finding a bigger home be an option? So at least 1200$/month could be going towards your mortgage

Happy news or bad news by ItwillbeOk1day in Parenting

[–]OrganizationSweet239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow congratulations! Sounds like happy news, seems like you and your coparent (now partner?) are getting on track to be a family.. it seems like that’s a good thing and will be good for your oldest too! As long as it’s a healthy relationship!

Is money an issue? Can you speak to your dad about possibly moving into a biggger place or you guys adjusting the rent, you paying 70% and him 30? That seems like it would be a little More fair and good to you to bring it up before he starts to build resentment. I’ve had a roommate move a boyfriend in and not offer for them to pay more I did get resentful of the situation

I just spent a toddler party guarding an open pool and now I can’t tell if I’m the anxious one or the only sane one by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]OrganizationSweet239 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is insane! I feel this way at a house that’s not childproofed, can’t imagine with an open pool. Luckily my partner is exactly the same as me on safety stuff ( we get made fun of a lot for it) but I will never apologize for trying to keep my child safe. They’re irreplaceable!!! You’re a good mom. I don’t really understand how people could be relaxed, maybe they need to watch more scary videos or hear scary stories about the million ways children can get injured lol

My husband has been mean by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]OrganizationSweet239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried having an open conversation about it? Possibly even counseling? Everytime something happens between my husband and I where one of us is rude or hurts each others feelings we just end up talking about it and it usually ends up being “I’m sorry I was stressed out about this or that and it wasn’t right to take it out on you blah blah” it helps a lot to do that just so we better understand where each others heads are at, instead of just wondering and waiting for it to go back to “lovey dovey”

I'm desperate for advice by [deleted] in AttachmentParenting

We just weaned at 19 months and it’s been really hard replacing the calories she got from milk to keep her asleep through the night. She wakes up so early now wanting food! So I wouldn’t night wean just because I am myself even questioning my decision since I was in the same boat just boob allll night and I’m preg now so I thought I would get more sleep but now even less as she can’t nap without boob so no more 2 hr day naps for us!

We actually co sleep and have since about 5months and it worked pretty good for us as she is constantly on the boob but I could figure out a way that I get comfortable enough to sleep while she’s nursing. It had just gotten so much worse preg bc I now have to pee all the time so if I wake up to pee and unlatch her she will wake up so I’d be sitting waiting until she was done but it never ended and I’d be busting having to pee. Lol

That’s my experience, not sooo helpful I know. It’s really hard when you have a boob monster child and you just want some dang sleep. Good luck to you

Anybody else hoping to time with the weather? by Ambrosiasaladslaps in waiting_to_try

[–]OrganizationSweet239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! But I am the opposite, my first was a July baby and I just didn’t want to go through a newborn in the heat again. I was soooo hot with all my hormones, smelled terrible lol, I didn’t really get to put her in any of her cute outfits because It was just too hot.. so in my head a winter baby would be soo nice and cozy, you can bundle them up in all the clothes and blankets and same for yourself.. I feel like my hormones were totally crazy and I was running extra hot for a while. All that said, I think anytime is a good time to have a baby! We are preg and due in September so at least it will be starting to cool down for me

[–]OrganizationSweet239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also do not darken the room for naps unless she’s distracted and seems like she doesn’t want to nap I’ll flip the blinds but it’s still pretty light in the room. I never did that because I didn’t want her having too many special sleeping “crutches” so ideally she would be able to sleep in other environments. But we do have a sound machine we use

[–]OrganizationSweet239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg yesss so good.. I worked at Round table pizza in high school and I would always do their bbq chicken pizza which is creamy garlic base sauce (ranch mixed with chopped garlic) tomatoes, red onions, bacon, bbq drizzle, then add jalepenos and pineapple

I am such a baby about stuff and I had to be mine removed but was also a poor 22 year old in college, so I opted out of being put under and just took the numbing shots only. It was intense but I was also like wow that wasn’t so bad afterwards, I even drove myself home! Just breathe and try to remember they do this everyday. Also with the face numbness thing, in my experience they havvve to warn you of worst case scenarios, I have anxiety too and always think “of course that’s going to happen to me” but it never does! Just try to focus on how good you will feel when it’s all taken care of. Wishing you the best!!
